Never dumb it down

PAPA J: Tonight, Papa J had a show at The Roxy Theatre in Denver, and Poe was in the building to support. Were you? If you were there and if you took pictures of the performance, make sure you post them up and tag Papa J! Also, yesterday he dropped a brand new music video. From his 55 EP, watch the video for the outro track "Emergency 55," where you'll find him spitting razor-sharp, raw raps about staying true, loyalty, and not dumbing down his lyrics for anyone. Cameos by Poe and Joogy Jugg. If you still haven't downloaded the EP, GO DO THAT NOW. Watch the video in the mini player below, or click this link to watch it in HD.

RICS RUMBLE: There is a massive two-day festival this weekend called 626FEST (buy your tickets here) that you should know about. Over 80 indepedent music artists--veterans and local talent--will bless the stages over the course of Saturday and Sunday. And, guess what? You'll find Rics Rumble performing on Sunday (June 29th), so make sure you hit up that event! Get more information on this Facebook event page.

VIDA KILLZ: If you didn't know this before, earlier this year Vida Killz created the Absit Omen collective, which is aimed at inspiring others and cultivating community through art. With that, she is currently working on a book based around experiences of being a human (announcement here). If you have any interest in this book and receiving updates, go ahead and sign up on her mailing list. Regarding the project, she said, "My idea for this book is to share experiences and wisdom of being a human being. If you are interested in this, please take a moment to sign up for the mailing list below. (I know, more emails :p). I will be sending out the first email regarding this project in the next few weeks. Also, if you know anyone who might be interested in this, feel free to share this with them. Lastly, there are only 10 slots left for this first book. Sign up now."

DEVOUR: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeey! Would you look at that... Devour is here in my hot state of Arizona this weekend! I didn't know that until just now, so if any of you are AZ residents, make sure you hit up this meet & greet pop-up shop. On SATURDAY, he will be in Tempe (1948 E. University Dr., Tempe, AZ 85281) from 2pm-6pm (flyer). It's a free event, and all ages, so if you have nothing else going on... go say what's up!

GAVLYN: If you don't follow Gavlyn on Twitter, you should probably go do that right here. She updates there a lot more frequently than anywhere else. For example, she recently posted a behind-the-scenes picture from a shoot she did, saying "Photo shoots are funs". Her hair is two-toned now (black/dark brown with chunks of orange-blonde), too!

YARAH BRAVO: Yarah recently did a photoshoot with Gutta Soles, where she posed with a bunch of their shoes (have a look). While you wait for the customized Yarah Bravo rolling papers, stickers, and even canvases, go ahead and pick up the Love Is The Movement album on vinyl or CD from HHV.DE (or straight from Bandcamp)! And, although it's over 3 weeks away, she announced a show on July 19th at Club GRETCHEN in Berlin, where she will be on the 90s Hip Hop Floor (Check the event).

Good night!
XOXO, Tiffology
