OgT Take Over

You know what's dope about the Organized Threat camp? Not only do they work hard, aim high in their crafts, create quality work, have an amazing comradery, and support each other through every endeavor that comes along... but they are ALWAYS doing something with their time. There is always an event/show popping off, a new song posted, interviews surfacing, photos of the collective hanging out with one another and/or other inspiring individuals, incredible reviews, new merch ready to be swooped up, work-in-progress pieces where they ask for feedback, music videos, etc. There isn't one person who is just sleeping on the job and not striving to make the best life for themselves. We here are OgT Weekly write every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and there hasn't been a single entry that has been bare in content. The year has barely begun and it's already proving to be incredibly productive. So wonderful! Anyway, I'm about to go make some bomb turkey burgers, but before I do... here's what these people have been up to.

GAVLYN: Fresh off of her third album release, Modest Confidence, a new interview with Gavlyn surfaced yesterday. She recently spoke with Fern of the Your Friends House blog and shared stories of how she came up with her alias, how her perspective has changed from when she first got involved in music to where she's at now, performing throughout Europe, her desire to be more personal and share real life stories in her music, and much more. READ HERE. Also, be sure to buy her new album on iTunes, or you can get CDs, posters, and buttons on her website or at Broken Complex.

Not only that, but Gavlyn was the latest guest on Dumbfoundead's Hot Box series where he sits with someone in his car, it's all smoked out, and he interviews them. Episode 51 finds Gavlyn speaking on her growing fan base, touring, her new album, what's to come, and she spits a verse at the end. WATCH HERE (or below).

VIDA KILLZ: Yesterday, Vida dropped a new video. Serving as the 7th installment of her live performance series, this one finds her performing "Amare," featuring Self Destruct, at the Wherehouse? in San Jose, California. Shot and co-produced by Sol Fern Fotographia. WATCH HERE (or below).

EMPTYSEV: Sev dropped some exciting news via Facebook early this morning. His forthcoming album titled Seven Empty now has a release date--you can expect it on March 7th (that's a Friday, which means I'll be writing about it, yayuh!).

Also, while FiascoTheGod mentioned it on Monday, don't forget that EmptySev's official birthday bash party is this SUNDAY, January 19th. It's only $5 to get in and it's ALL AGES, so be sure to hit up the Wheelhouse Bar at 6pm to catch live performances by Poetic Death, Bonnie Blue, Razor, THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A., MC Sincere, and several others. DJ Starchild will also be on the 'tables. It's going to be a dope OgT gathering, so make sure you attend and celebrate with Sev! Check the flyer here for more information.

JASSON C: A few days ago, Jasson announced that he will be at SXSW this year. If you'll be there, you should swing through Spiderhouse on March 13th and 14th for that live performance. He followed that exciting news with: ""The Lymbo Ascent Project" (#LAProject) is underway. And more visuals to come as well as the skits off "Waiting Room". 2014 is looking up!"

THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A.: The producer dropped a remix of Blu and Exile's "Soul Provider" on his Soundcloud today. He brought out a more soothing side by stripping away the high-pitched vocal cuts and scratching, and instead slowed down the boom bap drums a little, and laced it with what sounds like a looped harmonica (or some kind of reed instrument). It's a good-feeling vibe that doesn't take away from the original too much. STREAM/DOWNLOAD.

FEGGY MIN: As always, this talented lady has been posting up new works and progress shots. Last week, she posted up an illustration of NYane Lebajoa (view here). Then, drawing with only pencils and black markers, she combined her past style of realistic portraits with her current art style to produce three new drawings (view here). She followed those up with another one of a sad Miura Haruma (view here), and it's quite lovely, too. And last, she dropped another new piece, this time it features Eminem (view here) in "God Bless The Holy Donut!"

SARA FLEUR: Sara has posted up some new photos on her Facebook page. This is to showcase a new Simon Desue beanie, called "DESUE". You can find it here. Also, let's end this post with a picture of Sara and Feggy together, lookin' super fly (view here).

All right, that's it. I hope everyone attending and performing at Razor's album release party tonight are having a blast! And, if you haven't yet, go buy his new album F.A.I.T.H.!

-------------------------------

Have an amazing three day weekend.
Peace and blessings to you all.
Love is the way.
XOXO, Tiffology
