Over the past few days, there was more news than music, coming from the Organized Threat camp. Building anticipation can be important when releasing new music. Announcements were delivered by the likes of Razor, Papa J., Poetic Death, Vida Killz, Rics Rumble, and Rellim. Before that, lets take it back to the basics..
THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A. released a new sound entitled "Back To The Basics". He tagged "thought provoking" on his Soundcloud player, and indeed it is. With your idea of the word, basics, this sound will wrap you in a straitjacket and throw you in a time machine to bring you "Back To Basics". Whether that may be up in your elementary classroom, learning that 2+2 equals 4 and that you put "an" before a word that starts with a vowel, or from the first time you started to understand the standard skills required to play a certain sport, THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A. achieved his goal to bring it "Back To The Basics". Maybe for him, it's when he started learning how to make instrumentals. This beat is for sale and you can contact the producer at fequalsmc@gmail.com.
It looks like producer Ruman was the popular guy this past weekend. Both Papa J. and Razor tweeted sanguine remarks as they made it known that each of them went in on separate beats produced by Ruman. Papa J. tweeted, "@RUMANSAYS iii killed one of yo Beats on 5:55AM". Razor joyfully wrote, "Writing this new heat from my nigga @RUMANSAYS .....hahaha they not ready ;) #OGT".When the Razor joint will release is unknown, but it is known that Papa J.'s track will be on his upcoming mixtape "5: 55 AM".
If you are expecting new music from Vida Killz this year, you better absorb every lyric, sound, metaphor, and emotion in her latest project with JG, "XXIV". (You can read more about "XXIV", on the previous OGTWeekly). The Organized Threat poet will not be releasing any music this year but look for something in the summer of 2014. You can read her entire Facebook post which states what she will be working on for the remainder of this year, by clicking here. In the meantime, it looks like Vida Killz has found a way to interact with her listeners by putting together a 23 question interview. These questions will be formulated by her listeners and you can ask your question now by logging into Facebook and leaving a comment on her FB status by clicking here. If you have her on IG, you can ask a question there and I am sure she won't mind if you contact her via Twitter.
Rumor has it, that music listeners can suffer from lack of music video intake. Doctors call it, MusicVideonesia. Symptoms are, blurred vision and an itchy back. Thankfully, Poetic Death, Rics Rumble, and Devour, can provide a cure. Poetic Death made it known that he is exhausted after three days of shooting three music videos. He writes, "Three videos in three days, fuck I'm tired.". If you didn't know, Poetic Death is also a director who shoots a lot of videos for the members of the Organized Threat camp. One of the many questions that arises, is if one of them, is a music video for Devour. I recently had a private Twitter chat with producer Rellim who told me that Devour is shooting a music video for his track "Ain't A Fool", which is produced by Rellim. Rellim also replied to Poetic Death's tweet by asking, "your grindin bro! You shoot devours vid to?". Whether or not Devour's music video is a part of Poetic Death's three music videos in three days mission, still expect a music video from Devour. Finally, Rics Rumble is on his grind as well. He announced on Twitter that a music video for "Like Me", which looks like it is connected to Poetic Death's tweet, has been completed. Rics Rumble tweets, "Just wrapped a the video for this one
And to wrap it up we have a random Organized Threat tweet provided by Gavlyn. She tweets, "Someone sent me an email saying "Dear Respected" that immediately pist me off for some reason". So in case you were planning on sending an email to your favorite MC, Gavlyn, don't insert "Dear Respected" in the beginning, middle, or at the end of that email. Gavlyn, you may have gotten "pist off" but at least you didn't get pissed on. *Cymbol Hit*.
There you have it. In case you were grinding out there like the artists mentioned above, and weren't able to keep up with Organized Threat this weekend, consider me, FiascoTheGod, your savior.
