The Purity of Love and War/Carousel/Exclusive News from JG

#OGTWeekly Exclusive News: JG and Razor are in the "early stages" of a joint album. On top of JG working with Razor, Chateau Des Dieux (JG+Vida Killz) have also begun to work on their next album. You can listen to the first Chateau Des Dieux album by clicking here.

This is Fiasco and I am really excited to supply you with a new OGT Weekly. Can't you tell by my face?

Papa J. Ruiz
A very happy birthday to Papa J. Ruiz! Make sure you head to PapaJRuiz.com to grab his music and merch!

Get ready for Papa J. Ruiz's HR-1955 album with the official album teaser. It is set for a March 25, 2015 release.

Vida Killz

Vida Killz has officially released her short story collection Thoughts While Dreaming: Collection 1. I'm looking forward to picking this up to explore more of Vida Killz' literature via her short stories.

If you were unaware, Vida Killz has commenced selling hardcopies of Negative Space again which are available by clicking here.

Three New OGT Albums

The Purity of Love and War by Von Poe VII

Von Poe VII doesn't waste anytime relaying powerful words in The Purity of Love and War. "Basquiat" commences the album and Von Poe VII makes tremendous use of words in this track. It's eye-opening jaw-dropping poetry. The ending skit on "Basquiat" featuring Jay Z gives you an idea of what the album is about.

It is also important to note that Poe has included 5 tracks that can also be found on his previous albums VONPOEVII and ONLY GODZ RELATE. I really like that idea because if new listeners like those tracks (for example, "Cowboy Bebop") they will go back to those albums. Basically it's a great way to still promote those albums while at the same time focusing on the new one.

Although it is hinted in "Basquiat" that the album is about love and war on the road to success I also feel that it is the love and war that Poe has experienced since being in the Hip-hop scene. He has made a lot of relationships within and outside Organized Threat and I believe that the The Buttress and Papa J. Ruiz solo's represent the "love" experience. As far as the "war" experience, Poe isn't shy in relaying his tenet of the current state of the rap game and his experiences with former Organized Threat members and those who tried to beef with the threat.

As far as putting focus on single tracks I appreciate the contrast between the tone of production and tone of Poe's voice in "Dante's inferno". The insertion of previous tracks such as "Phlegmatic" also remind me of my favorite lines from Poe such as the following "And my word is bond but, they don't understand it / so now I'm posted up in the garden with 2 leprechauns and a bandit". To this day I still don't understand what the garden, leprechauns, and bandit are supposed to represent and it doesn't bother me. It just fascinates me to keep thinking about what it could mean and those words strung together make prevent the track from being scant in poetry.

Words that are evoked when listening to The Purity of Love and War; poetry, frustration, genuine, yearning for something more (maybe recognition).

Samples Of Fire by Joogy Jugg

This 15 track beat tape from the Organized Threat producer Joogy Jugg features an array of sounds. All rappers are welcome to utilize these beats to their advantage. All we ask is that you give the proper credit to Joogy Jugg. Organized Threat is not only a movement but a family. That comes into play when Joogy allows Rellim to get a slot on his tape with "Jazz Work". Tracks like "Blue Flame, "THinkHiR", "Du Wop", "Sunlight", and "Cruising U.S.A." are some of my favorite tracks and justify Joogy Jugg's usage of the title Samples Of Fire

Before You Enter; The Ghost Room by Xican Brown

Xican Brown is one of the newest additions to the Organized Threat roster. Although we have seen his visual "God's Gravedigga" we still didn't know too much about him. His new album Before You Enter; The Ghost Room gives us more insight on his creative mind and who he is as an artist. Tracks like "Holy Water" and "Change for 20 Cents" are tracks you really do not want to miss. Live From The Ghost Room will be Xican Brown's next album.

New OGT Audio

JG releases the last single off his upcoming Stay Still album with "Strict" featuring Vida Killz

Jasson C goes on a lyrically onslaught in his new sound "OG Diablo".

New OGT Visual

Yarah Bravo bilingually expresses herself in her new visual "Carousel".

Von Poe VII starts the release of visuals for The Purity of Love and War with "Basquiat". This is also his first visual of 2015.

Words From Fiasco

There is your new OGT Weekly! To make sure you have everything down pact, check it over a second time. If you don't know how to introduce somebody to Organized Threat, this OGT Weekly will get the job done. I'm not going to hope you enjoyed this OGT Weekly because I know you did. I composed it.

#OGTWEEKY: "Untitled 12/16/14"

This is FiascoTheGod and I am currently alive to supply you with the latest Organized Threat news. If I wasn't alive I'm sure someone else would be doing this right now but, that person isn't alive. I am alive. Or am I?

GET EXCITED! HERE IS THE NEW OGTWEEKLY! YEAH!

#BREAKINGNEWS: Introducing the newest member of Organized Threat, Vic Virtuoso!

"Heathen" is the debut visual from Vic Virtuoso and it is a very disturbing one. No there aren't creepy animals or images in this visual. It's just the presentation Vic Virtuoso gives. From the production which is produced by Vic as well, to his tone of voice, to the visual itself, it's difficult to not be creeped out or feel awkward while watching. I can picture Vic Virtuoso's style blending very well with Von Poe VII's and you may be experiencing that very soon.

On top of a new member join OGT, we have a new visual from Von Poe VII! Yeah!

Here is "Everything Has A Meaning" by Von Poe VII. Poe rolls deep in this visual and one of those faces you will see is MOOK who supplies you with a special dance performance. The phrase "everything has a meaning but, none of it makes sense" really has my mind stuck. For some reason my brain just cannot understand that phrase although it is very direct. Anyway, this track produced by JG can be located on Von Poe VII's album ONLY GODZ RELATE.

#COMINGSOON: JMega The God is putting the final touches on his upcoming project

"I've been wondering if heaven's got an open bar / See the stars wondering if heaven's there at all" - EmptySev, song: "Gas Chamberz"

While walking to work one day I was thinking about this line and then I had the idea to compare it to something. Although I jotted notes in my phone so I wouldn't forget when it came time to compose my OGT Weekly, I cannot make the connection between what I jotted down in my phone. It was something really good, too. This has been one of my favorite lines in all of music this year and it always has me thinking. Maybe when you're done reading this you can comment your favorite line(s) from an OGT member.

JASSON C INTERVIEW! YEAH!

Jasson C and I were able to work together to put out an interview through another website I write for. It took a while due to my schedule but, it when it was published, it came out very well. Jasson C answered each question in fine detail and that's what really made this interview intriguing. He's currently working on his LA Project so I asked him some questions about that as well as a couple of other questions.

One of the questions I asked was about his "Philharmonic" track with EmptySev and Rellim. Read below to learn the story behind it.

2. How did the collaboration between you, Rellim, and Emptysev for “Philharmonic” work out? How did it start and what were the conversations like during the creation of the track?

Ok, so Rellim is from Texas but had moved out to LA for a few months (and hopefully we get him back soon) and we started working on music. We both produce so we made 3 or 4 beats together while he was out here. It was chill we would smoke kush and wax, watch futurama with his roommate, talk about random shit. Haha it was dope. This one day I came over Rellim’s messing with this Roy Ayers sample and I could hear how the drums would have to break down. I kinda played director for a few minutes until the patterns sounded right then I let him do his thing and I started writing. We recorded like 2 hours later and we had an open verse plus Sev had hit Rellim up for some material. We sent him the verse. I told him the murk it off. He did. And its history. Its probably one of the more organic songs Ive ever made because, you know, it wasnt planned or nothing. We just kind of did it. You can hear how fresh it is, how fresh the content is, how hard the beat is. Everything is so raw, but polished on the track. I love it, man. It was fun getting that done.

#DONTMISS: "Me Against The World" by Papa J. Ruiz

#NEW: "Woke Up Broke" by Papa J. Ruiz

Papa J. Ruiz continues to perfect his art of expressing his struggle with "Woke Up Broke". With production from Rellim, Ruiz showcases an effortless flow with reality stricken lyrics.

There are only 2 grey "iii" beanies left! Make sure you are one of those two by clicking here to purchase. Don't be that Papa J. Ruiz fan that doesn't have one!

A Few Words And Sentences From FiascoTheGod

No Minimal Movement (Organized Threat Expands)

"And am I wrong for being different cause, I ain't met too many winners" - Von Poe VII, Song: "Paradox"

I am FiascoTheGod and I composed this blog to let you know the latest ongoings in the Organized Threat camp. I am a highly trained somewhat professional. Please try this at home.

#BREAKINGNEWS: Here is the newest Organized Threat member Xican Brown!

Just like Koolz One did, Xican Brown was able to make a memorable debut video for Organized Threat. Here is "God's Gravedigga" directed by Chad A. Marshall (Von Poe VII). Xican Brown capitilizes on this debut as if he had one shot and relays hair rising lines with an untouchable delivery.

#FiascoThought: With two new members in Organized Threat this definitely shakes up the possibilties on the Organized Threat album! I am really excited to hear Xican Brown and Koolz One work with everyone in the camp. Don't forget that Organized Threat begins the process of their album in the beginning of 2015.

One of my favorite EmptySev tracks receives an appropriate visual. Here is "Gas Chamberz" (produced by Faces) directed by Chad A. Marshall.

Music: Papa J. Ruiz "Swamp Land"

Papa J. Ruiz continues to stimulate the the yearning for his upcoming album HR-1955 with a new sound entitled "Swamp Land". What do you think of when you read the word "swamp"? For me, it signifies unsanitary, deep, treacherous, and even violent. Papa J. Ruiz uses the title "Swamp Land" to describe the environment he is growing up in. Even with all that is going on, there are words of hope and a promising vision from the OGT emcee and the soulful production from Ruman aids to uplift as well.

A Von Poe VII Update

After today, Von Poe VII (or Chad A. Marshall?) is available again to shoot some video specials! For $500 you can have your video shot by the one and only. Click here to see more details. If you are a wack rapper then don't click the link but, please continue reading the OGT Weekly.

A new shipment of ONLY GODZ RELATE hardcopies have arrived, too! Click here to get yours.

The Latest On Jasson C

Song so good I have to make sure you hear it. I know it was featured in the last OGT Weekly but, I have to make sure you didn't miss it. Here is Jasson C's track "Philharmonic" featuring EmptySev and production from Rellim.

After shining on the production on "Philharmonic", Rellim released a new sound entitled "Sluggin". Rellim supplies another dope trap beat and if you think you are able of conquering this gem, click here to lease or own is exclusively.

Jasson C keeps us updated on his album LA Project:

So with that tweet we can confirm that LA Project will have 15 tracks.

Wrap Up

There is another OGT Weekly in the books! I look forward to witnessing more surprises by the end of the year. I doubt they are done. Even if they are, adding two members and annoucing an Organized Threat album is the perfect way to end it. It leaves us, the fans and listeners, wondering what else Koolz One and Xican Brown are going to be able to do to help Organized Threat expand. And we can keep pondering the possible collaborations on the Organized Threat album. I will now leave you with a Twitter gem from Papa J. Ruiz.

OGT Weekly 10/15/2014 created by FiascoTheGod

#BREAKINGNEWS: Starting Januay 2015 Organized Threat will begin the process of their group album. The album is also scheduled for a late 2015/early 2016 release. To prove that I am not lying, I have strategically placed the official tweet below.

Click here to read the entire Facebook status.

#QUICKTHOUGHT: As a fan/listener/follower for Organized Threat looking in from the outside, one thing does concern me about the process of this album. That one thing is the loyalty of members. I'm not questioning the loyalty of anybody right now in the group but, we've seen a fair share of members leave the camp this year. Anything can really happen in a year with any one current member. Goals change. Mindsets change. It happens. Imagine what would happen if the members from the begging of this year all decided to work on the album this year? It would be ruined. But, I am assuming Von Poe VII used his good judgement and does not question the loyalty of the current members of Organized Threat. With that being said, this will be the very first Organized Threat album. The album will mean so much more if everyone who is on the first one is on the last.

Song Of The Blog: Play JMega The God's  "Veterans Day" while reading up on the latest Organized Threat news.

Welcome to my dungeon. This what you waited on. This what you waited on. This is FiascoTheGod and I am currently alive to supply you with the latest Organized Threat news.

I can feel it my soul

When Poe laces up and puts on his grill you know the visual is about to be fire. Even though this is Poe's visual he was able to balance the attention and put the appropriate amount of focus on the dancer Reginald Anthony Webber Jr. The scenes of Webber dancing with the pillars surrounding him, may be the best scenes Chad A. Marshall (Von Poe VII) has ever shot. "Cowboy Bebop" is produced by Ruman and can be located on Von Poe VII's album ONLY GODZ RELATE.

Did You Know This About The Threat?

As I continue to not only be a blogger for Organized Threat but, as a fan as well, I always want to learn more about them. I was able to get in contact with Von Poe VII and have him send me five facts about Organized Threat. Here are 2 of those 5 facts below. The 5th fact was a question I came up with on my own because it's something I've been wondering about. So I crushed my wonder and asked the question. I also urge you to go read the rest of the facts because I also included a lot of dope music by Organized Threat, too.

2. Organized Threat was started in 2006 by Chad A. Marshall and a Spanish teacher from his Highschool, Chad A. Marshall is the only original member still in the camp (if you don’t include the reboot of the group that happened in 2012).

Fact #5 is one that I was personally interested in so I had to make sure I obtained the story behind this fact. A sample of a gentleman saying “Organized Threat is the future” can be found on a couple of OGT tracks. This is how it happened.

5. Von Poe VII said, “the bum sample came from a trip to Vegas while filming “Black Pyramid”. He wanted a cig and I told him only if he said OGT on camera. I felt it was cheesy for an MC in the camp to say it. Kinda bias you know? But a bum on the street? Golden”.

Click here to gaze upon the entire blog.

Reality Check

Razor accurately translated the ruthless feeling in the track to the visual with his manifestation of his actions in this visual directed by Chad A. Marshall. This track and more can be found on Razor's album F.A.I.T.H. Although this album is dope, according to Poe, we can expect even better on Razor's next project.

More Music From The Threat

EmptySev dropped a new track entitled "Gas Chamberz". Faces must have really went into a grimey no holds barred mind state to produce this beat. It is currently getting daily rotation in my playlist and it ranks right next to my other favorite track by him "Bloody Sabre".

Jasson C blesses us with his first single "Dolphins (Tom Hanks)" off his upcoming album. We witness a focused (as always) Jasson C on this track who's looking to get awards like Tom Hanks. If you ain't doing it big don't do it at all!

Vida Killz Destructs and Rebuilds in order to take charge and lead in her latest EP Destruction: Rebirth of Self. This is a collaboration effort with producer GRIEF78 and this is their last installment to their trilogy.

Organized Threat has also this Organized Threat Mix series. There have been two volumes released so far. The first one was composed by Rellim and the second by Ruman. Both feature several quality tracks from a few artists from the camp. I really think this is a good way to get someone into Organized Threat. If you know someone who hasn't heard of Organized Threat yet, send them these two mixes. And if you're really friendly, show a random person at your local grocery store.

OGT Mix Vol. 1 by Rellim

OGT Mix Vol. 2 by Ruman

JG has released a real piece of art in "The Prologue EP". This is his first installment in his Stay Still series. JG says,“The concept for the upcoming Stay Still is that the world has essentially ended. And the tracks take you through the types of people and feelings that someone in a post apocalyptic world would see/feel. But it’s so far removed from the actual event that the event itself lies in some folklore grey area”. What really impresses me about this project is JG's voice and delivery. I don't know how to explain it in a rational matter. His delivery is just smooth and uncracked. Almost like there are no faults. JG really raps his ass off in this project and I honestly think he has potential star power. Click here to listen.

If JG has one role (either MC or producer) I would really like to hear him spit a verse and see how he matches up with the other elite MCs of Organized Threat.

Limited Edition Posters!

Papa J. Ruiz has released limited edition HR 1955 posters up for sale on his bandcamp. There are only 4 left so if it's something you are unsure of getting I say go for it! You don't want to have any regrets later on. In order to prevent your potential regret, click here to purchase the limited edition posters.

#SECONDBREAKINGNEWS: Organized Threat officially welcomes new member Koolz One.

Koolz One spits about the Hip-hop he grew up on and that's what makes this the perfect introduction. With a new artist in the camp brings new opportunities for in house collabs and I am looking forward to that.

FiascoTheGod closes his blog with a few words. He won't see you again for a whole month!

Before I conclude this OGT Weekly, I want to give a quick belated birthday shout out to DJ Starchild!

Befive you carry on with your activities as a human being take a second look at the blog and share it with someone! If you're not a human being and you're able to read this, you're cool as fuck. We should chill sometime. Hit me up.

[WWU]

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES !

Reunited and it feels so good minions! Welcome once again to this wonderful moment we have together. I'm sure you all know by now, I fucking love to talk about how much it matters to stand up and take action for what we believe in, whatever that may be. I also love to fucking talk about how important it is to mobilize and organize our voices in unison. I mean come on fuckers, lets face it; we all human; we all have the same internal organs; we all need water to drink and food to eat; we all need places to defecate. We may all be rolling along in different directions and at different speeds, but its our hearts and minds that lead us, and God knows we have that in common. Some though, they don't believe, they've lost hope and gone astray. They have been poisoned by doubt and retreat to solitude in resentment looking deep within themselves to find a pot of gold that was never placed. The goose couldn't lay the golden egg alone and loneliness isn't worth one's weight in gold. But with the pressure of all our voices united as one we can create diamonds; we can motivate and cultivate change. BECAUSE LETS FACE IT PEOPLE! Everyday we don't take a stand for what we believe in, we are letting corporate America rape us and we are tacitly consenting to support what they stand for. When you fill up your car with gas you're supporting big oil companies like Chevron who pollute the amazon by dumping their leftover waste water into its pristine rivers. When you go to Walmart and buy yourself some fucking toothpaste you're supporting the import of tuna caught illegally through bottom trolling fishing methods that unnecessarily kills tens of thousands of sea turtles every year. The list goes on and on but the truth is blatant; If you don't stand up for something you believe in, you'll be standing for a bunch of unnecessary bullshit you didn't even really know you were standing for. And the only way to change this crazy thing called life is by standing together, being loud and being proud. Organized Threat stands loud and proud, and overall for the greater good and love of mankind. There's a certain kinda power that comes with numbers, we all know this. So don't be ignorant, perhaps stand with us, or at least stand for something. Or else you'll stand for nothing but bullshit.

Organized Threat. The TEAM. The FAMILY.

"Anyone who jumps ship cause we not blowing up fast enough in they eyes can eat a Dick" - Papa J. Ruiz

Video of the blog: "747s" by Jasson C.

I am FiascoTheGod and it is time for me to supply you with the latest Organized Threat news.

#THISJUSTIN: Papa J. Ruiz looks to keep us busy with brand new content this week. We should expect 2 new leaks tonight and a music video tomorrow!

Von Poe VII continues his grind by personally delivering copies of ONLY GODZ RELATE! Click here to view the Instagram post of where he recently was! He never seems to hesitate to provide for his fans and to support those who support him.

"I find it funny / I'm the only one not here for the money /  I should have focused on myself /  Cause maybe then they wouldn't learn from me" - Von Poe VII, Video: The Villain

Vida Killz and Von Poe VII kicked it recently. You can view their photo on Instagram by clicking here.

Are you ready for a new video from a track by Von Poe VII that is produced by Rellim? I would love to tell you exactly when but, all I can supply right now is this tweet from Rellim that announces that a music video will be "comin". We want more details Rellim!

The last video that Von Poe VII released under Rellim's production was "Paradox" and that can be gazed upon by clicking here.

#EVENTUPDATE: Razor will be throwing a birthday bash on July 11 in the Beverly Hills area. DJ Starchild will be there, too! Click here to view the flyer for more details.

While composing this blog I thought to myself, "what has Jasson C been up to?". My curiosity led me to send him a tweet to see if I could find the answer. Ultimately he let it be known that a "great flood" will be approaching.

I am pleased to close out this blog with 2 new tracks from Organized Threat!

The first comes from JMega The God with his new sound "Written In Steel". JMega The God lays down his godly delivery over production by Aquarius Minded. JMega FLEXXX's HARD in this track.

"I bust guns for my niggas who bust guns for me / I shed blood for my niggas who shed blood for me" - JMega The God.

Whether he meant this metaphorically or literally is not important. It is the message behind it. A motto that some family's (blood related or not) go by. This rings true for JMega and his family.

We also have new music from Rellim and Jasson C. Guess what?! Rellim isn't the producer on this track, he is an emcee alongside Jasson C! When you compare the two you can clearly notice that Jasson C is the more developed emcee but, Rellim still holds his own! Listen to their new track "That Notion" which I praised in my blog for using the word "notion". No it's not the most complex of words but, when it comes to tracks that play off of a word, it is usually a simple word. "That Notion" raises that bar intellectually and creatively.

THERE YOU HAVE IT!

There is your latest Organized Threat news! It is drenched in important news and thought provoking quotes/tweets. Before you continue with your Monday antics, read over the blog one more time and make sure you share it with a friend! Don't forget to check out the video of the blog! You can now consider me, FiascoTheGod your savior.

06/06

POETIC DEATH: If you donated money in Poe's IndieGoGo campaign to help him press up physical copies of ONLY GODZ RELATE, you can get ready for one of those to show up at your doorstep in the near future. Speaking of the near future... this Sunday, he will be dropping the music video that he filmed with The Buttress when he was out in the East Coast (damn, talk about being productive!). The video for "Cowboy Bebop" should be on its way during the middle of the month, too. He also commented: "Like I said, I have a collab video with The Buttress dropping real soon. After that I'm going to end this month's selection of music videos with "FEAR" off the #ONLYGODZRELATE project. Gonna drop visuals for that joint the last week of June." And if you slept on the newly released music video for "Bishop's Revenge," go watch that as soon as you can (I put the mini player below, too, for your viewing convenience).

PAPA J: Papa J took part in an interview with the the folks at Salty Soundz Radio based in Halle, Germany (starts around 12 minutes). They touch base on his time spent in Germany, his musical work, and his newest EP 55. LISTEN HERE.

GAVLYN: A brand new interview with Gavlyn can be found at MTV UK. In the "MTV Meets... Gavlyn" feature, you'll find exclusive photos, discussion about style transition in her music, being a woman in hip hop, her thoughts on internet beef, and some choice music suggestions. GO READ HERE.

JASSON C: As it turns out, Jasson C didn't drop his #LAProject on the 5th. "When it's done, it's done," he said. He also noted that the project is "actually uber political, but you won't hear the politics until the 2nd or 3rd time listening. 1st time you'll just like it." While you wait for that to drop, though, you might want to pay attention to his Soundcloud page for any new material.

JMEGA: A few days ago, JMega dropped some new visuals from his True Masterz group, for the song "Farrakhan Rap". Be sure to check that out here or watch it in the mini player below. So much heat!

FEGGY MIN: Feggy has been a little worker bee, pushing out a bunch of new art. Check out her most recent pieces of Giriboy, CMYLMZ, Zion T, and some illustrations for Stylenanda (a fashion site). She is planning on doing a part two of the original Korean Hip Hop piece that she did awhile back, and she is asking for your suggestions on who should be included in the second version. Also, a couple more photos have surfaced from the Imeline photoshoot that she and Sara did together. Here is a stunning photo of the two, holding hands in cute dresses with blonde hair, and here is a gorgeous solo shot of Feggy! Last but not least, go ahead and wander on over to her online shop, because she updated and restocked a lot of items... with new stuff in the "Special Items" and "Prints" sections.

SARA FLEUR: Guess what!!! Sara is in the beginning stages of a full back tattoo. Last week, she got the linework done for an entire Feggy Min art piece, logo included. That's some real love and friendship there, guys. Take a look! Wow, I'm excited to see the final piece, once it has been colored. And, here is a solo shot of Sara, shot by Imeline.

----------------------

This has been a busy week for music videos, so if you've missed any,
don't hesitate browse the blog or go straight to the OgT Facebook for those and more.
Side note: The official OgT website is currently going through some changes and updates,
so bear with that transition (and also look out for when it's done).

Hope the weather has been/is still good wherever you are, because over here in Glendale, Arizona,
it's been anywhere between 104°-113° in the last two weeks.
Woooooo, perfect weather for pool time, though!
Haha, anyway... have a good night!

A Second Chance

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES !

How the fuck do you do little ones, on this fabulous wicked Wednesday? I'll have to admit, after reading the introduction to FIASCO THE GOD'S weekly Monday update, a certain question has been hanging around the gallows of my mind lately. He spoke in reference to a line from VONPOEVII'S song titled City After Hours -"My circle getting smaller as my life goes on". To continue on with the topic of our circles shrinking and the come and go of weary souls who cross our paths, I'd like to talk about second chances. As we grown and come to know, its impossible to trek without change. If I came face to face with my 18-year-old self on a street corner today I'd stare into her eyes as if she were a stranger, hell I probably wouldn't even be her friend. My point being that I have changed, regardless if I wanted to or not, because every person, situation and dream I've encountered and everything I've come to experience has helped to mold me as if I was the clay stretching and folding in the hands of the sculptor. And like many others, this unstoppable change came with a price as my circle became practically non-existent. It seemed like the more I knew, the lonelier I became. It also seemed like the more I created myself as an individual and began to build my own circle, the faster the illusory circle i'd once grown so comfortable with began to fall and perish. I'd like to think that people come and go for a reason, some purpose that I perhaps am unaware of. I'd like to think that all I've lost and gained has made me the proud woman I am today. But who is to know. 'Circles' in a sense are self pruning rose bushes, severing the putrid ends while making room for new blooms. But who's to say that a severed rose can't be replanted? Do people deserve second chances? Is life too short to give up on people? Or is life just too short to put up with the bullshit? Does it depend on the strength of the bond, family? If there a objective answer? #FOODFORTHOUGHT

Spice Up Your Life

POETIC DEATH: At the end of May, from May 28th to May 31st, Poe will be in New York to film music videos off of his new album. Papa J. and Joogy Jugg will be there, too, so if you spot them, don't hesitate to say "hi" and introduce yourselves. Also, he has some new gear on the way... but have you got your hands on some of his "old" gear? Better GET SOME.

PAPA J: Other than heavily reminding you all that he has a big announcement coming on May 25th (look out for that!) and posting some visuals every now and then, Papa J has also been sharing some seriously cute photos of him and his son. While that's not too relevant to what he's been up to musically, it kind of is, because that's his heart right there... and where inspiration will come from. Family is everything... and he's being a full-time Papa. :)

GAVLYN: For all of you living in France, Gav will be out that way throughout the month of May. Be sure to look over the flyer to see if and when she'll be stopping in your city. Speaking of performances, Gav has been performing at select locations during Sick Jacken's tour along with Bambu (one of my favorite emcees). MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND ONE OF THOSE SHOWS, BECAUSE THAT'S SOME SICK TALENT UP THERE. All caps necessary, yes. They'll all be at Brick Mortar in San Francisco TOMORROW, so peep the flyer. For visual awesomeness, here's a photo of Bambu, Gavlyn, and Sick Jacken. And, for added spice-up-your-life flavor, I learned that Gavlyn and I share a love for the Spice Girls via photos of saved memorabilia (her picture and my picture). No shame in my game.

VIDA KILLZ: Calling all producers, miss Vida is seeking beats that resemble the sound and vibe to the one in "Lucid Dream". If this is what you're about, go ahead and hit her up (see her post).

JASSON C: After previously announcing the official release date for his forthcoming album, titled The Lymbo Ascent Project (#LAProject), Jasson invites his supporters to like and/or comment on this status if you want new material. He has singles prepared, and will begin shooting videos next month... so if you're fiending for that new-new, you better let him know!

THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A.: This guy just made a tweet talking about how he's in the lab working on his second solo album ("trust I'm coming with a lot of different sounds & styles this time around #AsSoundTravels"). Are you ready for that? Until then, you should go back in time to last year and listen to A Peace of Sound.

YARAH BRAVO: The awesomely wonderful Yarah has been performing out in Russia these last few days, and has been posting some funny selfies that will bring a smile to your face (hair ball in Moscow, and hair ball in Moscow pt 2, a flying Yarah). Her next show is in Minsk, Belarus tomorrow! I'm not exactly sure where the event is going to be held at, so if you're in the area and would like to attend, make sure you stay tuned to her Facebook page and/or ask Google.

FEGGY MIN: So, Feggy finally finished up all of her Block B "Jackpot" inspired illustrations. Have a look at all of them right here and tell her what you think!

THREAT THROWBACKS:
1) Poe posted this picture (here's a color version) of him and Papa J. He wrote a touching little post about the things they've been through together, and posed a thoughtful, rhetorical question on the idea of where they'll be at in 20 years and the impact they'll have on the world.
2) Papa J posted this photo from the summer of 2012 when he was filming an unreleased music video with Poe. He also posted this photo that shows him hanging out with Vida and Poe that same summer... just before he was hospitalized.

That wraps it up.
HAVE A DOPE WEEKEND!

Easter Weekend

It's that time again--it's Friday! The weather is lovely tonight and I'm feeling mighty healthy. It wasn't until yesterday that I remembered that Easter is just around the corner, so I'm barely just solidifying my plans. I see a honey-baked ham and other yummy food on the horizon; oh yes. Before I go ahead and tell you all that I hope your weekend is great, that it's filled with laughter and good times (and not spent too dangerously), let me get into what's new:

POETIC DEATH: I know Aster and Fiasco have already talked about the album's release, but let me reiterate that Poetic Death dropped his ONLY GODZ RELATE album five days ago, on April 13th! Much like Fiasco, I am not here to give you my review or thoughts on the album, because it's one that needs to be absorbed on a much larger scale and given many more listens, so you'll have to wait for that... or something (haha). With that said, though, have you given it a thorough listen through yet? What are your thoughts? What are your favorite tracks? If you haven't listened to it yet, or haven't snagged a digital copy, make your way to Bandcamp or any other digital retailer (iTunes, Goodle Play, etc) to add it to your arsenal of dope music. His IndieGoGo campaign is still up and running for hard copies, too. It ends on May 30th, though, so hurry up and reserve yours today.

"30 tracks of very thought provoking poetry, and broken limitations to the art of its culture. ONLY GODZ RELATE marks the next chapter to the introduction of Goth Hop / Sludge Hop, a combination of morbid poetry mixed with a desire and strive for a higher level of consciousness and overstanding."

Also, on April 16th, Poe got to kick it with BReal (of Cypress Hill fame) for a Heavyweights Radio interview on BReal TV (photo 1 and photo 2). Did you tune into that? Make sure you keep an eye on this website for when/if they post footage from the show.

GAVLYN: The winners from Gavlyn's "Forward Back" BeatStars remix contest were announced today. First place winner was awarded to Grim Fury (stream the remix) and the runner up was Jae Joe (stream the remix). Tomorrow, she will also be rocking alongside Oh Blimey during her set at Brokechella, on the Brownies and Lemonade Stage. Follow this link for information and the flyer.

Last, but not least, a new video interview surfaced, and it's from when she was in Spain on UMOtv. WATCH HERE where she talks about her album showcasing her transitions as an emcee, her eclectic taste in music, being fashionable in music, being featured in London's Front Magazine, and more. Tell me that microphone piece isn't enormous, haha.

VIDA KILLZ: Vida posted a brand new video for her Negative Space on vinyl IndieGoGo campaign. Check out the video below, get an idea of what the vinyl will sound like, and make sure you check out her fundraiser.

JASSON C: While Jasson has kind of been lowkey lately, he did announce the official release date for his forthcoming LA Project album today. You can look for it on June 5th, so put that on your calendar and stay tuned.

FEGGY MIN: Feggy has been really productive this week! Her new pieces include a duo feature of A$AP Lou Banga and A$AP Illz and a six-color variation of Jackson (of the Got 7 boy group). Remember this Zico piece from last week? Well, that was inspired by the new Block B's colorful and creative music video for "Jackpot" (Side note: Not related, but the lead girl in the music video is from one of my favorite Korean movies, called The Man From Nowhere. Ahhh, dope!). Feggy has been creating more vibrant illustrations of the boys from the video, such as another Zico piece, U-Kwon, P.O., and Park Kyung. They all look pretty dope, huh?!

What Are You Working For?

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES!

Welcome, once again, to that fabulous day we socially celebrate as Hump Day. Various theories attempt to explain the origin of the peculiar reference, ranging from fucking someone [or if that doesn't work out, fucking yourself] which is the most logical and most self explanatory, to our generation's sense of humor and that damn commercial camel who goes around asking people what day it is. Regardless, for most of us it signifies the middle of the work week and, if you're anything like I am when I'm swamped with work, today you often remind yourself that it's half way done ['it' being whatever the individual chooses 'it' to be or signify]. But what better time to ask yourself why you're doing what you're doing and exactly how that 'what you're doing' is meaningful than when you're engulfed in your work? A recent little birdy set free by the poetic JASSON C intrigued me.
Sometimes, its a real slap in the face to watch individuals seemingly waste their time, and sometimes even their lives because they don't bother to ponder the importance of what they're getting involved in. It's like, did you have to get into the car with that extremely drunk guy you met at a bar? Did someone force you to bring that gun to school and pull the trigger on your classmates? The most disappointing aspect of freedom is that the human potential can be freely influenced and wasted simply at the turn of a key or the pull of a trigger. We cannot control the randomness of the world, but we CAN control our reactions. And the hardest thing to stomach is that with this responsibility we choose our paths, and therefore we chose this human degradation. It saddens me to look around and watch as people I love sink deep into a mire because they acted just to act, without considering the gravity of their choice. And then I am led to wonder the purpose of it, for some this contagious choice to suffer and for others not, and then I am reminded of a caged animal. And I am instantly reminded of what I never want to let myself become. Thankfully, I am surrounded by folks who live for what they do because they've taken the time and put in the effort to understand exactly what their work means to them personally. They have learning their worth and how to express their inner-forces positively, which i believe is what we're all aiming for. How do you feel about freedom of choice? Whom/what are you working for?

"One's own free unfettered choice, one's own caprice, however wild it may be, one's own fancy worked up at times to frenzy -- is that very "most advantageous advantage" which we have overlooked, which comes under no classification and against which all systems and theories are continually being shattered to atoms. And how do these wiseacres know that man wants a normal, a virtuous choice? What has made them conceive that man must want a rationally advantageous choice? What man wants is simply independent choice, whatever that independence may cost and wherever it may lead. And choice, of course, the devil only knows what choice."
-Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Now onto #OGT news and updates!
I recently had the pleasure of accompanying VONPOEVII and DJSTARCHILD while they cooked up some spicy shit for #ONLYGODZRELATE which is dropping this Sunday!!! Its always enjoyable to watch the men while they work, since they are such interesting subjects to observe. Artists are beautiful, please enjoy the snapshot below of scratch and blow. Follow the litte birdy for all things DJSTARCHILD and VONPOEVII!!!

Also, RICS RUMBLE just released a flyer for his upcoming Europe tour!!! If you're on that side of the world, I recommend following this little birdy here and nabbin yourself a spot to support your very own RICS RUMBLE. Help us bring the entire THREAT overseas!
JOOGY JUGG is also advertising a bit of his #JOOGYMUSIC with the 'ThinkHiR' merchandise! As he's said before 'ThinkHiR isn't a clothing line its a lifestyle'. This is a beautiful example of understanding the gravity of the ideals one stands for; take note. Be sure to stay tuned for more information from JOOGY JUGG as well as new music and merchandise! Support your local OGT member!
Well, ya shits.
Until next time,
 With Love

Aural Appetite

Hello everyone! Here we are once again; it's Friday. Last time you heard from me, I was 27, but now I am 28 (as of Monday). Not that it matters, because it feels exactly the same, haha. It's so good to be here in life, though. Healthy (for the most part), happy, and happening. Anyway, the camp has been up to quite a bit this week, as you have already seen in the posts from Aster and FiascoTheGod. Here's what's new!

POETIC DEATH: From now until March 23rd, Poe's video services are open to the public (that's right, anyone outside of the OgT camp) for a $500 special. However, it's only open to THREE acts, so if you're interested, make sure you hit him up via email as soon as possible to secure a spot (check here for more info).

RICS RUMBLE: On March 10th, Rics Rumble unleashed the music video for the "Hold My Tongue" remix featuring Mack The Shark, Razor, Jasson C, and Foxsta. Turn the volume up. You can either watch the music video in full here or click play on the mini player below. Also, if you missed the original video, go ahead and watch that, too.

SOULCAT E-PHIFE: If you've been missing that Soulcat E-Phife goodness lately, she has recently shared some fresh stuff to satisfy that aural appetite! She released a brand new track on March 11th, called "Always See Another Day". Over upbeat, dusty drums and rich piano notes, she poetically raps about a beautiful love and longing to see a certain someone again. It's a good song, so make sure that you stream and download it now. Also, yesterday, she performed with a live band for Klub Bahö at Cafe Leopold in Vienna, Austria. She posted video that features original footage from her rehearsal with The Backing Beatz for the event.

EMPTY SEV: To coincide with his forthcoming album Seven Empty, Empty Sev had stickers made and is ready to throw them your way to slap around your neighborhood, on your personal belongings, or wherever else you see fit. Hit up his email (blackdeyemond@gmail.com) if you want him to mail you some for free! You know you love stickers!

YARAH BRAVO: As you may already know, April 30th will be the date for Yarah Bravo's self-titled EP release party. Well earlier today, she told us all about how she spent the whole night and morning in the studio, where she recorded, edited, mixed, and exported 4 new songs. Commence excitement! "I feel like a vampire. I opened the door and it hurt my eyes, hahaha. I was straight up buzzing with myself, the AKG, the equipment, and a cat, meaaaooow," she said. She proceeded to thank everyone in her life, those that she works with, everyone that supports and looks out for her, and, most importantly, she thanks herself.

"You know what…i'm gonna thank myself too. For living my dreams, despite the obstacles in this world. For nourishing my talents, and not being afraid to grow with them, and see where they take me. Many people find it easier to ignore the heart when it talks. I knew from a young age, not that i necessarily was gonna make music, but i knew i wanted to live a creative life, on my own terms. School was interesting, especially since i mostly went to the classes that stimulated my creativity. the rest of the time i was just in love with Hip Hop and everything it brought to me. That it was hip hop in end that opened the door and showed me the world, is quite cool to me!! u knooooow. I GIVE THANKS. Humble Greetings, Enjoy the weekend. - Yarah"

FEGGY MIN: Feggy hasn't been posting too much this week, but she did share her most recent illustration a couple of days ago. It features the boys of the Korean hip hop/R&B band TROY (see here).

THREAT THROWBACKS: Since I keep seeing members of the camp post old school pictures with each other, I thought I'd dedicate a little standing section for my posts featuring some of them. This week, Vida took part in Throwback Thursday, and she posted up a couple of photos from a few years ago that show her and Poe hanging out (I'm guessing that they were taken when some DeathKillz videos were filmed--speaking of, it'd be dope to see them collaborating in this form again). Take a look at this one (from 2011) and this one. Today, Papa J posted a photo that was taken last summer in Switzerland, while on tour with Poetic Death and Gavlyn (look here).

That's about it!
Until next time...
Go, get your freak threat on!

Shoot to Kill

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES !

My name is ASTER, and welcome to the weekly WEDNESDAY update of all things ORGANIZED THREAT. I had the pleasure of spending this evening with none other than the general himself VONPOEVII, the acrobatic flying squirrel RICS RUMBLE, and the shooter EATDABABIES. Our evening began with a bit of exercise at SkyHigh trampoline park, where we forced our bodies to do things they were probably never meant to do but SHIT, it's fun stuff. Front flips, back flips, aerials, you name it. From there, we found our way to a lovely shooting range, equipped with a S&W .40, a HK .45, and topped it all of with a 12 gauge shotgun. Let me tell you though, when you shoot a 12 gauge shotgun at someone, you shoot to kill. Not to take out a leg or an arm, no. You shoot a 12 gauge and you shoot to be lethal, no if ands or butts about it. The same way a skilled shooter takes out his target is the same way our very own EMPTY SEV brought the pain with these fresh visuals for hi song 'Seven Empty'. Produced by VONPOEVII, Seven Empty is firing off rounds like nobody's business. Please, you freaks, if you haven't done so already, take a peak at EMPTY SEV'S latest video 'Seven Empty'. Relax and enjoy the poetry!
#BREAKINGNEWS: Tonight will be the last night to enter PAPAJ RUIZ'S inspirational contest. Stay tuned for more updates on the proposed drop date for this video, and follow the little tweety below for the latest RICS RUMBLE updates!
JMEGA THE GOD also just released an interview he did titled 'The Tika'. So if you haven't gotten a chance to listen to the interview yet, follow the little tweety below and may all your hearts desires come true! No but really, listen to the interview and never stop supporting your local OGT artist!
