SCARY MOVIE

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES !

 Howdie doodie #ORGANIZEDTHREAT fans! I hope the evening has come to you in good blessing, as it has me. Its officially my fifth day home from the great NYC, and I can honestly say that I miss the shake of the subway beneath my feet and the sweet smell of the witching hour down by the river. They always said that you don't know what you're made of until you push pass your own boundaries, and by golly if my soul was once only an acre I assure you it is now a continent. After 72 long sleepless working hours, my mental was fully saturated and I had begun to learn things about myself that I wasn't even aware existed. While I sat back fully saturated, I watched VONPOEVII, PAPAJ RUIZ and JOOGY JUGG act if sleep was not a necessity, but simply a choice. Not a minute was the vibrancy absent, not a minute did the work ever turn rest. Salute to all the artists who push the grind high. Though I assure you...

 You ain't seen nothin' yet.

A Second Chance

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES !

 How the fuck do you do little ones, on this fabulous wicked Wednesday? I'll have to admit, after reading the introduction to FIASCO THE GOD'S weekly Monday update, a certain question has been hanging around the gallows of my mind lately. He spoke in reference to a line from VONPOEVII'S song titled City After Hours -"My circle getting smaller as my life goes on". To continue on with the topic of our circles shrinking and the come and go of weary souls who cross our paths, I'd like to talk about second chances. As we grown and come to know, its impossible to trek without change. If I came face to face with my 18-year-old self on a street corner today I'd stare into her eyes as if she were a stranger, hell I probably wouldn't even be her friend. My point being that I have changed, regardless if I wanted to or not, because every person, situation and dream I've encountered and everything I've come to experience has helped to mold me as if I was the clay stretching and folding in the hands of the sculptor. And like many others, this unstoppable change came with a price as my circle became practically non-existent. It seemed like the more I knew, the lonelier I became. It also seemed like the more I created myself as an individual and began to build my own circle, the faster the illusory circle i'd once grown so comfortable with began to fall and perish. I'd like to think that people come and go for a reason, some purpose that I perhaps am unaware of. I'd like to think that all I've lost and gained has made me the proud woman I am today. But who is to know. 'Circles' in a sense are self pruning rose bushes, severing the putrid ends while making room for new blooms. But who's to say that a severed rose can't be replanted? Do people deserve second chances? Is life too short to give up on people? Or is life just too short to put up with the bullshit? Does it depend on the strength of the bond, family? If there a objective answer? #FOODFORTHOUGHT

Conversations W/ POE "So what would you like to do?"

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES !

"So what would you like to do?" Mr. Ern Dogg asked VONPOEVII as we sat beneath the setting sun on the back porch of Soul Assassins Studios this recent cool Sunday afternoon, our energies shuffling across the mosaic table along with the playful breeze. My mouth was on the floor and my ears alert more than ever before, yet not simply due to the circumstance, but by the lesson behind the story Mr. Ern Dogg articulated to introduce the question. He told us a story about opportunities and the importance of not taking them for granted, the significance of a productive balance between confidence and Ego, and about pushing forward responsibly. I was the bystander of exchange between sage and student, which to me is essentially priceless. Usually when I'm witness to networking exchanges or business collabs as such, its as if I'm showing up to a soccer game ready to play with a tennis racket and one of those fancy sweaters. As some of you may know, I grew up singing country music and playing Mandolin in a small minded city; the most conservative-concentrated area in the San Joaquin Valley in fact. So, growing up I was largely sheltered by that stupid geographical circumstance, ignorant to a lot wonderful things I never knew existed. And when I found out how much I was missing out on, variations of knowledge and wisdom I(now of age) was letting slip by me, I was beyond resentful. After understanding that there are just some things in life one can't control, I decided I would do everything that I could with what I could control, and learn everything I could through the resources available to me. Hip-Hop culture being one of those wonderful things I never knew existed; I take a lot from these specific interactions between sage and student. I'm blessed to say its something I'm able to relate to, something that I feel that is larger than myself. And every week I learn something new about myself from these OGT blogs I present to you beautiful freaks and geeks; an opportunity that I was given that has now morphed into a philanthropic responsibility. My point being - do everything you can with the opportunities you are given no matter how large or small, and listen carefully to the wisdom passed down from those who left the footprints you now tread. That being said - keep your three eyes open for something very special from Mr. Ern Dogg and the ORGANIZED THREAT Movement. For now, remind yourselves of how fucking awesome 'THE REIGN OF VII' is. Vibe out and let the HUMP DAY soak in. You're welcome nymphs and nymphettes, you can thank me later.

Spit over Eminem's Superman instrumental (My personal favorite of Eminem's work), RICS performs this one with an infectious motivation and a bit of a power flex. Also, our own FIASCOTHEGOD announced previously that miss BONNIE BLUE leaked a new performance of some new poetry titled 'On The Edge', which is set to be released this Friday with the rest of her much anticipated album 'All Things Considered'. Due to my work schedule, this blog post will not contain Papa J.'s "5:55AM" mixtape which is set to be released at 5:55 pm. But I am able to remind you to go to Datpiff to download it as soon as you get the chance.

Developing a true appreciation for the music, visuals, and/or poetry that an artist can create is what makes fans stay for the journey. Anything in addition supplied by the artist is just a bonus. But maybe it shouldn't be a bonus. Maybe it should be part of the journey. A bonus that I'm speaking of in this situation is receiving personal stories as well as heartfelt advice from the artist to the fans. Is it wrong to expect this as a fan? Sure we are dictated these stories and advice in their music, but would it mean more without the music? Obviously it comes down to personal preference and in the following news, Vida Killz and Yarah Bravo have something to share, no instrumentals attached.

"This time last year I was in San Jose for an X-mas visit to my Grandparents house. We had just received my Viejita's prognosis. So I flew out from AZ to be with her. This year is our first Xmas without her which is making this Holiday Season a bit hard for me.
However, I stumbled on this picture & wanted to share it.

During her resting time, She'd request her favorite songs..so myself or my Tio would play 'em for her off YouTube. This actually started at the hospital and went all they way to her passing. Music played a big part in her life & I'm blessed to have it fill mine as well.

This is not so much a random tweet. This tweet is meant to summarize the feeling of every college student at the end of their semester. Endure One passed his statistics course! He tweeted me "@FiascoTheGod, dude, I aced stats!" I replied letting him know that's great news and then asked him how he felt about his accomplishment. Endure One tweeted "I think that it's fuckin relief that I'm done with that class...".
Dammit! Were you out this past weekend Christmas shopping again? Don't worry, I've got you covered. Just consider me, FiascoTheGod, your savior.
