When the sky darkens...

POETIC DEATH: Being that today is Friday the 13th, I feel that this day is a good lead in for what's new with Poe. We have seen the sneak peek photos and the talk of the brand new song that Poe recorded with The Buttress over the course of a few weeks now... and, finally, all of that excitement was met with the official music video a few days ago! Produced by Critical Distance, "COFFIN" is wrapped up in a mellow, head-nodding beat that finds two dark-minded, inner sinner rappers letting us know that even when they're dead, they'll still resurrect from the grave and raise hell on Earth (from the hook: "When the sky darkens, I'm awoken from my coffin). Poe takes on the first cult-like verse with a don't-give-a-fuck attitude and deadly, bury-you-where-you-stand rhymes. The Buttress creeps in with a hair-raising shriek just before she pulls grimy raps from the depth of her gut. This is her first collaboration, and I think they make a good team because it's a dope track. Special cameo from Aster, where she plays a spell-conducting, possessed girl seeking release. I wouldn't doubt that she's being possessed by the black magic that this deadly duo is reciting. Watch the music video in all its HD quality over at Youtube, or watch it in the mini player below.

Look out for the visuals to "Ready To Die" on the 21st!

PAPA J: Papa J dropped a new song called "La Sistema," that follows his life and how he's changed ("I done came a long way..."). Look out for this song on his forthcoming HR-1955 project. STREAM AND DOWNLOAD.

JMEGA: JMega dropped something heavy yesterday, guys. As a prelude to the True Masterz highly anticipated album Almagest, they unexpectedly released True Masterz Radio. It's a 24-track project that is comprised of new material and previously unreleased tracks, and it is a display of the trio's true elevation. Go STREAM / DOWNLOAD on Bandcamp for free (or name your price to support the artists).

VIDA KILLZ: After receiving many inquiries regarding whether or not Vida accepts beats, she let it be known that she definitely does. In this status, she supplied her email and said that she is currently looking for about 7 beats to finish off her forthcoming album, Daydreams and Nightmares. If she chooses your beat, you'll receive the album for free in return. So, if you feel that this is something you'd like to take part in, go ahead and send your stuff to her and/or if you know someone that would be interested, let them know what's up!

RICS RUMBLE: A brand new Cypher Effect video surfaced and the 7-minute session features Rics. He's up first, too, so watch the video and download the song for free.

RAZOR: Razor recently wrapped up a video shoot for his song "Pearly Gates," and posted a behind-the-scenes still from the shoot (look here). Be on the look out for that. Also, if you're in the North Hollywood area (and 21+ in age), then you can catch him performing at the Universal Bar & Grill TONIGHT (he mentioned it on Instagram). Doors open at 8pm. It's $12 at the door, so go show your support. Aside from doing the show, he will also be selling copies of his Sharper Than My Name album for $5. (Side note: You can catch Rics Rumble there, too!).

THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A.: Congratulations to THA FORMULA on graduating! Check out this photo of him all smiling and excited for the big, final day. There's also a photo of him and Razor posing together.

EMPTYSEV: EmptySev shared a brand new beat that he made, called "Broccoli". Crunchy, boom bap drums, sci-fi like elements, chopped vocals, and a funky piano line woven throughout... it's real nice! Listen to it now.

YARAH BRAVO: Yarah was featured on The Polish Ambassador's brand new album, on a song called "Nobody's Alone". It's a fun, danceable jam where she sends an uplifting, happy message of figuring out what YOU want and not letting someone's negativity destroy you. "I threw a life line in it, but you kept on sinking // And before I knew, I was drowning, too // No oxygen, looking down on me with a heartless grin // In the grimmest hearts of men // So, I'm not sorry for dancing // I'm not sorry for smiling // 'Cause I will not be seduced by your darkness."

I'm not a smoker, but for those of you that are, Yarah now has limited edition ZIGGI rolling papers for your smoking needs! You can get your hands on them during her in store show at the HHV.DE Store on June 21st (Facebook Event).

FEGGY MIN: Since I last wrote about Feggy doing a part two to her original Korean Hip Hop piece, she recently told us that she has created 27 new portrait outlines. She said, "There are still around 50 more portraits to do! Later when the Outlines of all Portraits are done, I will scan & (digital) coloring each of them and then put it all together to one piece." Have a look at a couple of sneak peeks that she has so kindly shared: here and here.

She also shared a close-up look of the Thug Li(f)e Hoodie that she has available in her store. And just for fun, watch the new San E & Raina music video for "A Midsummer Night's Sweetness" where you will find Feggy Min's art (spot the iphone case!).

SARA FLEUR: Last but not least, here's a brand new photo of Sara, where she's fully decked out in Feggy Min gear ("Blessed" long sleeve shirt & "9889" black leggings).

--------------------------------------
I know that was a lot of information to take in and process, but it's all good,
because you have the whole weekend to catch up.
Enjoy your night. Get your freak on. ;)

06/06

POETIC DEATH: If you donated money in Poe's IndieGoGo campaign to help him press up physical copies of ONLY GODZ RELATE, you can get ready for one of those to show up at your doorstep in the near future. Speaking of the near future... this Sunday, he will be dropping the music video that he filmed with The Buttress when he was out in the East Coast (damn, talk about being productive!). The video for "Cowboy Bebop" should be on its way during the middle of the month, too. He also commented: "Like I said, I have a collab video with The Buttress dropping real soon. After that I'm going to end this month's selection of music videos with "FEAR" off the #ONLYGODZRELATE project. Gonna drop visuals for that joint the last week of June." And if you slept on the newly released music video for "Bishop's Revenge," go watch that as soon as you can (I put the mini player below, too, for your viewing convenience).

PAPA J: Papa J took part in an interview with the the folks at Salty Soundz Radio based in Halle, Germany (starts around 12 minutes). They touch base on his time spent in Germany, his musical work, and his newest EP 55. LISTEN HERE.

GAVLYN: A brand new interview with Gavlyn can be found at MTV UK. In the "MTV Meets... Gavlyn" feature, you'll find exclusive photos, discussion about style transition in her music, being a woman in hip hop, her thoughts on internet beef, and some choice music suggestions. GO READ HERE.

JASSON C: As it turns out, Jasson C didn't drop his #LAProject on the 5th. "When it's done, it's done," he said. He also noted that the project is "actually uber political, but you won't hear the politics until the 2nd or 3rd time listening. 1st time you'll just like it." While you wait for that to drop, though, you might want to pay attention to his Soundcloud page for any new material.

JMEGA: A few days ago, JMega dropped some new visuals from his True Masterz group, for the song "Farrakhan Rap". Be sure to check that out here or watch it in the mini player below. So much heat!

FEGGY MIN: Feggy has been a little worker bee, pushing out a bunch of new art. Check out her most recent pieces of Giriboy, CMYLMZ, Zion T, and some illustrations for Stylenanda (a fashion site). She is planning on doing a part two of the original Korean Hip Hop piece that she did awhile back, and she is asking for your suggestions on who should be included in the second version. Also, a couple more photos have surfaced from the Imeline photoshoot that she and Sara did together. Here is a stunning photo of the two, holding hands in cute dresses with blonde hair, and here is a gorgeous solo shot of Feggy! Last but not least, go ahead and wander on over to her online shop, because she updated and restocked a lot of items... with new stuff in the "Special Items" and "Prints" sections.

SARA FLEUR: Guess what!!! Sara is in the beginning stages of a full back tattoo. Last week, she got the linework done for an entire Feggy Min art piece, logo included. That's some real love and friendship there, guys. Take a look! Wow, I'm excited to see the final piece, once it has been colored. And, here is a solo shot of Sara, shot by Imeline.

----------------------

This has been a busy week for music videos, so if you've missed any,
don't hesitate browse the blog or go straight to the OgT Facebook for those and more.
Side note: The official OgT website is currently going through some changes and updates,
so bear with that transition (and also look out for when it's done).

Hope the weather has been/is still good wherever you are, because over here in Glendale, Arizona,
it's been anywhere between 104°-113° in the last two weeks.
Woooooo, perfect weather for pool time, though!
Haha, anyway... have a good night!

Check the Threat

THREAT TRAVELS: Let me start off by saying that Poe, Papa J, and Joogy Jugg flew out to New York earlier this week to wander the city, meet some people, visit some notable spots, and film music videos (3 music videos in 3 days). Our fellow OGTweekly contributor Aster went along, too, and the whole group eventually linked up with the other contributor FiascoTheGod. Click here to see a group photo.

POETIC DEATH: While filming videos in the city, Poe has been posting some photos on Instagram. There is a brief video from the first night, doing their first slumber party in New York (HERE). There's one of him and Saeed Sha chilling in front of 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the South Bronx (HERE). A shot of the "the team" working hard (HERE). Also, after recent talk of there being a Poetic Death x The Buttress collaboration, Poe met up with her in New Jersey to bang out that track, and will soon be shooting a video (picture here).

GAVLYN: On Saturday, Gavlyn will be rocking a set at the Sweet Baby Fest, at the Bootleg Theater. It starts at 8:30pm and goes through until 2am, and it's a 21+ event, so be there or be square. It's a non-profit event that will celebrate DJ SweetBabyRay's birthday, and all proceeds will go to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation in his name to support key cornerstone programs benefiting children and families throughout the greater Los Angeles region. You can see the flyer or check the Facebook event for extra information.

She also announced a Latino America tour that will take place in November. She is still looking to get booked out that way, so if you want to hit her up (or know someone who can help her out), you can find her contact information right here. Other than that, get ready!

PAPA J: Since releasing a 5-track EP, titled 55ep, Papa J brought you some new merch to grab. On May 26th, he dropped a limited edition "iii" beanie, which quickly sold out. While that's not available anymore (I'm sure there will be follow-up editions), you can still get your hands on some "iii" stickers.

Of course, while in NYC, he's been posting up a few pictures, too. Here's one at Madison Square Garden, one at Quad Studios in the elevator Tupac was shot in, and a good ol' group shot. Lastly, while you wait for his new album, make sure you stream and download his latest EP, where he rapped over other's production to remind you of the lyrical heat he possesses.

RAZOR: If you're a fan of Razor, if you find yourself saying "Fuck Cancer," and/or if you want to give your money to a good cause in return for some dope performances... you should hit up the Rappers Vs Cancer show tomorrow at 10855 White St, Sun Valley, California 91352. All funds will go towards someone named Raul Sotello, who I assume is fighting the fight (or is related to someone that is). There will be performances from Razor, DJ Starchild, and others. You can check out the flyer on his instagram. If you have any questions, I'm sure you can hit up Razor on Twitter at some point between then and now.

YARAH BRAVO: Yarah Bravo has been making her mark all over and seems to be having the best time (proof is in all the pictures she shares on Facebook). In fact, she did a show tonight at the Hot Jazz Club in Munster, alongside German producer duo Carpet Patrol (Suff Daddy and Torky Tork--so dope). That's three dope musicians in one place, playing music that I love... oh how it'd be a pleasure to be there. I imagine pictures will be posted in the coming days. Speaking of performances, check out this beautiful set of photos from a performance she did in Berlin.

Also, if you bought her album on vinyl, or CD even, make sure you send them Yarah's way. She wants to see you all showing support, and she will likely post them on Facebook (example 1 and example 2). Yarah's Love Is The Movement release show is approaching, too, on June 10th at the new YAAM (Facebook event for more info).

FEGGY MIN: Over the past few days, we've been seeing a lot of sneak peeks from a photo shoot that Feggy Min and Sara Fleur have done to showcase some new Feggy Min Clothing. HERE, you can see Feggy Min rocking some black "89" leggings and the "Balance" longsleeve shirt she once posted. HERE, you can see her wearing the "King YLLW" longsleeve shirt. Lastly, HERE is a photo where she's wearing a pink and white flower dress.

And on that note, here is that finished Pharrell piece, called GOOD DAY - HAPPY DRINK. It's so awesomely detailed with all sorts of throwback cartoons (Mario, Smurfs, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and more), yummy sweets, rainbows, and chaotic fun.

SARA FLEUR: From that same shoot with Feggy, HERE is one of the Sara and Feggy wearing black tops, black and white striped pants, and black Creepers. HERE's another one of just Sara in pretty pastel colors.

CRAYONBEATS: Today, we released our sixth magazine issue. Without getting into too much detail (you can read about it here), I just wanted to let you all know that I did feature Poetic Death and Yarah Bravo inside. To go into a spread called "What Are Their Top 8 Songs Right Now," I asked Poe to share and talk about his favorite songs. So if you're interested in what he's been bumping a lot lately, go check that out. I featured Yarah Bravo's Love Is The Movement album in my "Did You Hear That" spread, where I wrote about 6 albums that I think people should give a listen to. Go read or download the issue for free HERE.

That's it, friends!
Thanks for reading.
Have a good night, and an even better weekend.

Love Is The Movement

POETIC DEATH: Poe will be dropping a new music video this coming Sunday, and it's for his song "Paradox" off of his VONPOEVII album, released in 2013. That song in particular was produced by fellow OGT producer, Rellim (peep a photo of Poe and Rellim hanging out HERE). One more thing--Poe is very active on Twitter, so make sure you follow him there.

GAVLYN: After all the talk and sneak peek photos of Gav hanging out with Snoop Dog on GGN, the video has officially dropped. She kicks it with Snoop while he asks her a slew of questions, such as her influences, traveling the world with her music, how it feels to be ranked #1 on his Underground Heat show, upcoming projects, and much more. He even asks her "favorites" (drink, albums, song, etc) and to finish some sentences with answers that suit her. They kick some raps, smoke it up, get silly, and have fun, too. It was a really good, enjoyable show. It's almost 15 minutes in length, so check it out when you have some time, via the mini player below. Otherwise, click this link right here and watch it later and/or in a larger player in HD. (Side note: She has 5 more shows out in France!)

JMEGA: JMega recently announced that he is working on a handful of new projects. This includes a new True Masters album, an album with CDS of the Shogunz, and a solo project!

RICS RUMBLE: Earlier today, Rics dropped a new track called "WTF'S A HOOK," in collaboration with Gremlin and Hands. Over a head-nodding, dusty boom bap cut, they spit some solid raps that showcase what an emcee is capable of while posing the question: "what the fuck's a hook, when cats like me can rap like this?" Stream it on Soundcloud now, because it's real dope!

YARAH BRAVO: Since the release of her Love Is The Movement album, Yarah B. has been exploding with much love, joy, and appreciation. She posted some behind-the-scenes shots from her Carousel shoot. It's such a beautiful, chilling song, so listen here. Listen to the rest of the album and support this amazing woman, too. If you're buying the vinyl or CD packages, which comes with a poster, check out the artwork here and here (Yarah looks all cute, peeking above her own record).

She recently did an 8-minute video interview with BOKbialystok, where she speaks about women being in the forefront in hip hop, leaving her home in Sweden to be in London, being an independent artist, what it means to be a "hip hop bgirl nomadic", having a positive energy, finding your true calling, and other insightful, honest information. Such a great interview that will help you get to know her on a more personal level. Watch the interview in the mini player below, or click this link to watch it on Youtube.

Yarah will also be performing in the Czech Republic on May 16th (in Jihlava at Soul Club) and on May 21st (in Prague at Cross Club). Czech this little video that she did where she briefly speaks about it.

FEGGY MIN: Feggy has been up to a lot in the last week. She has a brand new long-sleeve shirt up in her shop, called "KING YLLW" (purchase here + there's a photo of her rocking it). She chose 4 winners in her most recent giveaway--find the names here. She has also started a new "TEAMFEGGYMIN" project, where she is recruiting all of her fans to take part in writing "TeamFeggy Min" + their country + their name on paper (or whatever material they choose), and then send it to her email at: feggymin@gmx.ch -- Feggy says, "#TEAMFEGGYMIN is to show that no matter where we all come from, how we look like, what our background is, no matter how different we seem to be, we can all come together to share happiness and joy!! And it's also a nice way to connect to all my lovely supporters and put you all on this page and become one big family all around the world!!! " She also says that you can take it with or without your face, depending on your personal preference. So, with that said, go grab some paper, some writing utensils, and get to it!

SARA FLEUR: Sara has officially reached over 10,000 fans on Facebook, and thanked you all for your support--assuming you are also one of those fans! Look out for new projects from this girl right here soon!

------------------------------
That wraps it up for Friday.

As you all may know, this weekend is Mother's Day.
I hope all you/your moms have a blessed weekend. :)
Spread love, be thankful you're here, and hug a mom!
Good night.

Round and round we go

Hello, everyone. I hope you all are well and are having a blast this Friday, as we smoothly move into a wonderful weekend (-fingers crossed). Yesterday wasn't too good for me, as I spent most of the day in the Emergency Room with my father, but thankfully everything is "all right," so says the doctors, for the most part (/end vague story). Today has been pretty good, though, and that good feeling, happy-face vibe has come with me tonight, too. I wrote this post several hours ago, and forgot to copy+paste it into the blog. Good thing I wrote it earlier, too, because I'm on my way to being tipsy. :) Sooo, let's get into it!

VIDA KILLZ: Hey, vinyl lovers! Vida will be getting her Negative Space album pressed up on vinyl. If you're interested, be sure to like her Facebook page or subscribe to her mailing list to get information about the forthcoming IndieGoGo campaign. Make sure you hit up this status and let her know what kind of incentives you'd be intrigued to get in return for your hard-earned money.

YARAH BRAVO: Lady Bravo has been posting several pictures on Facebook, such as the days when she had a pop up shop with Mimi Fresh and Sheila E. called Captain Love Bubble, where they sold exclusive vintage and customized clothing and footwear. Very cool! Also, check her out in a super fresh The PussPuss "Legend" hoodie (here), which was inspired by the Roland TB 303 Bass Line and TR 606 Drumatix. I featured The PussPuss in one of the CrayonBeats Magazine issues, so it's fun seeing her in one of their pieces. Not only has she been posting fierce flicks, buuuuuut she also shared a brand new song! Titled "Carousel," the song was released on producer Trommel Tobi's debut album (who has also been on the road with Yarah as her drummer). Over deep, slow thumping kicks, warm strings, and a lovely vocal sample, Yarah sings in both English and Swedish; it's quite alluring and poetic. Definitely check it out, and listen to it several times. STREAM! "Round and round we go..."

RICS RUMBLE: Since dropping his brand new music video, ya boy Rics performed a song called "Inner Ego," from his forthcoming album, over at Daftstar. Watch that in full view and in HD on Youtube, or in the mini player below.

SARA FLEUR: Sara is in a contest for Miss Manga L'Oreal mega volume mascara. I'm not entirely sure what she's in the running for exactly, buuuut if you know what's good for you, and you're a supporter of this pretty lady, go vote for her RIGHT NOW!

FEGGY MIN: Feggy's clothing will be available in Big Bazar Zurich (in the middle floor, Bahnhofstrasse 79 * 8001 Zürich, Monday-Friday: 9AM - 8PM * Saturday: 9AM - 6PM) on March 24th for TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT! If you're in the area, make sure you visit, grab some exclusive items (maybe this new bag?!), and perhaps one of the days you'll find Feggy herself there (stay tuned to her Facebook page, because she'll let you know when she's there). Here's a flyer.

THREAT THROWBACKS: Papa J posted a throwback photo from 11-12 months ago when he was filming the video for "Antiii," check that picture here. Yarah Bravo posted a picture from when she, Gavlyn, and Poetic Death rocked the stage at Hip Hop Kemp (here). Last, but not least, Feggy posted a picture of her, Gavlyn, and Sara posted up in Europe during a video shoot while Gavlyn was just there (so, not far into the past or anything). Plus, they're all decked out in Feggy Min clothing, too!

-----------------------

Welp, that's about it for today!
Hug somebody, exchange smiles, and radiate with positive light.

LOYALTY

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES !
LET'S TALK ABOUT LOYALTY
The ORGANIZED THREAT tweet above sparked my interest and really got me thinking about my own definition of loyalty. First, I find it beneficial to review the technical definition (and by technical I do mean Google's definition since Google is a very well recognized authority figure nowadays) of loyalty, to see the interpretation i'd be up against in court if need ever be. You know never, I mean someone filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit over the definition of 'Dress'; As much as it doesn't matter to the lay man, this shit is important. The definition is as follows:
  1. loy·al
    ˈloiəl/
    adjective
    1. giving or showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution.
loy·al·ty
ˈloiəltē/
noun
noun: loyalty
  1.                                       the quality of being loyal to someone or something.
"her loyalty to her husband of 34 years"
    1. a strong feeling of support or allegiance.
    • plural noun: loyalties
"fights with in-laws are distressing because they cause divided loyalties"

As you can see, being loyal is technically about 'showing or giving firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution'. Inevitablyeveryone interprets it differently, but roughly the concept is the same. Really makes you wonder though, Is loyalty a characteristic or a choice, or possibly both? If it is indeed a quality, does that mean that if you're once loyal you're loyal forever? If someone cuts you off or otherwise removes themselves from your life, does that mean their loyalty was arbitrary from the jump? What in the hell does 'firm and constant support' boil down to? It seems to me that, as they say, loyalty is a way of life, not a switch that can be turned on and off at any and every whim to do so. Loyalty is static, not variable. But things do change, and so do people. I'm proud to bear witness to The Movement and the group of individuals behind that Movement who profoundly employ loyalty as a lifestyle rather than a loose-ended decision. Sapplings may sometimes uproot themselves or be uprooted due to improper growth, but overall this forest I walk through shades and reveals all the right things in all the right ways. Think about that last one. In the meantime, to help you contemplate your own interpretation of that peculiar thing called 'Loyalty' please enjoy these words of wisdom, and may your own roots be established in the soil that's right for you.

:AND LASTLY:

WHAT'S THE WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN, YOU ASK?

Goodbye February

Good evening, everyone! Tonight is the last day of February and we move into March in less than 2 hours (MST time, that is). Here's what's been up with the camp in the last couple of days...

POETIC DEATH: Yesterday, Poe announced that from 8PM-10PM PST he will be on Huskey Radio on Wednesday. Make sure you tune in next week! He also made a tweet saying that he and Gavlyn will be working on "Castlevania Pt. II," so look out for that (and watch the video for "Castlevania" if you haven't already).

GAVLYN: Gav is back in the states, and is already back on her grind. With a fresh hair cut (I'm loving those Betty Page bangs on her) and a can't-stop-won't-stop mindset, she has a few shows lined up already. On March 12th, she'll be at SXSW and performing in the 2nd Annual Hip-Hop Pow Wow Unofficial Showcase at The Eastern. Check out the line up for more information.

JMEGA: Yesterday, the music video for the True Masterz' song "Angelz and Demonz" was posted up. This dark song/video finds JMega and MighGawd rapping about death and question your beliefs of good and evil. Very dope song and video, so if you haven't already seen it, go ahead and WATCH HERE or below in the mini player.

PAPA J: Papa J turned 24 yesterday, so you should probably wish him a happy belated birthday via Facebook and/or Twitter.

VIDA KILLZ: Vida dropped the music video for her "Remnants of Death" song today, filmed by Sol Fern Fotographia. WATCH HERE or in the mini player below. Make sure you grab her Phantom Loose Leaves EP, if you don't already have it.

YARAH BRAVO: Yarah will be flying to France tomorrow (March 1st) to perform at the Free Sons Divers festival, along with several other acts, so if you're in the area... you should be there. Also, after gaining 22,222 Facebook fans a few days ago (the number has grown), she is asking everyone to share how they first connected with her and/or how you found out about her music. Share your story here.

SARA FLEUR: Last but not least, the blue-haired beauty Sara posted up two new photos. Have a look here and here. I really dig the second photo, so much so that it makes me want to illustrate an art piece inspired by it/her. The bright blue hair with the hot pink lips just pops so much. Fleur is fly!

--------------------------------

Have a wonderful weekend.
Do good, fun things, and keep a smile on your face. :)
Peace, Tiffology.

Throw your underwear in the ayerrrr!

POETIC DEATH: Yesterday, Poe shared a photo from when he and a bunch of friends visited the Perris Cemetary to pay respect to some friends that passed away while growing up. He shared some sentimal words, too, saying "Words can't really do justice to how much of a blessing this afternoon has been. Went to the Perris Cemetery to visit some of the homies graves who passed away growing up, and ran into Cash's mom at his gravesite. Brought back so many memories, and had one of the greatest most heartfelt conversations in a long time. She was locked up when the homie passed, and this was the first time the she got to meet us. Super dope, and happy as fuck I got to share this moment with the homies @koolz1_iicc, @johnnygee_iicc, @bulletbeatzbang, @cfphotography1, and @yungceelow. In loving memory, remain eternal."

On a lighter note, Poe is offering up some official "VONPOEVII" stickers to anyone wanting to help spread the word. Send your name and address to him via email and slap 'em up wherever you feel necessary. Get yours!

BONNIE BLUE: Your favorite azul lady Bonnie Blue will be rocking a show tonight at The Music Factory in Ventura, California (flyer). She will be performing all of the songs from her debut album All Things Considered, plus some new unreleased joints. Doors open at 8PM, her set begins at 11PM. $5 at the door. Check out her other show dates here, too.

GAVLYN: It looks like Gavlyn is having a blast over in Europe, guys! Aside from the fun, memorable shows she's been rocking, experiences she's been sharing, and love that she's getting overseas, we've been seeing several photos of Gavlyn, Feggy Min, and Sara Fleur hanging out together. Here is another one--check out that Homer Simpson skirt Sara is wearing and that blue Bart Simpson dress Gav is wearing! These ladies are fly. While we're on the fashion tip, Gavlyn did a shoot for the clothing line K1X WMNS. Here's a little behind-the-scenes video of that day (watch here).

Oh, what's that? You thought only women threw panties on the stage at their favorite musicians? Nah, a grown man threw his black underwear up at Gavlyn during her show in Copenhagen, and they managed to snap a picture together afterwards (have a look). Hahahaha. Throw your underwear in the ayerrrr, and wave 'em like you just don't cayurrrrr!

All that said, her European Tour is wrapping up with a show tonight at the NED Music Club in Montreux and her final show is at the Exil Club in Zurich. If you're in or around those cities, do what you can to make it out there, have the time of your life, and say what's up!

PAPA J: Papa J is giving back to his fans by holding a special contest. For anyone on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, all you need to do is share your favorite picture of him + the best quote that not only inspires you, but can also inspire the world (put the quote on the picture). Make sure you tag @papajruiz to be entered! Two winners will be chosen on February 27th, and the prizes include a "No R3c" shirt + CD, Early Prep CD, 5:55am mixtape, a "iii" sticker, and a signed Life As I Know It poster. Not only that, but you'll also receive a gift from NewWorldKings and Joogy Jugg. All of this merch and more can be yours, so get involved.

YARAH BRAVO: If you're seeking some new aural pleasure from Yarah, go listen to Long Lost Relative's song "Between Machines and Dreams," featuring Yarah and Bajka. Over an array of heavenly-sounding strings, head-nodding drums, and a tropical-like melody, this lovely song finds Yarah and Bajka rapping/singing (respectively) about a thinline between dreams had when awake and asleep. A contrast of what might be perceived as good and bad; sweet dreams and destructive dreams, perhaps? Whatever it is, it's a beautiful song! Listen and grab that single for €1 ($1.37 USD). On the topic of radiating beauty, take a look at Yarah's new profile picture here!

RAZOR: If you're free this Sunday (February 23rd), Razor and OhWhen are throwing a free "Black History Month" show in Beverly Hills. Fellow OGT fam will be performing, such as DJ StarChild on the turntables, Jasson C on the mic, and THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A. playing a beat set. Check the flyer for more information!

DEVOUR: Devour's official birthday bash happens tomorrow night (February 22nd) at Mirror Image Studios in Anaheim, California. All ages. Entry is $10 at the door | $30 for VIP (includes meet & greet + a poster + a pic). Peep the flyer for further information.

FEGGY MIN: Feggy has posted some brand new illustrations, one featuring Demento (have a look) and one featuring New Champ (look here). Also, her "Eminem Holy Donut" design is now available on t-shirts. There is a special 20% coupon discount on all items in her shop (use at checkout), too, so hurry up and get yourself some Feggy gear!

Lastly, peep this brand new photo of Feggy and Sara decked out in Feggy Min Clothing.

Hope I fulfilled your OgT fix... until Monday.
This is the last weekend of February, so make it a great one!
Much love, Tiffology.

Don't fret, the threat is here

Hey! I almost forgot that California is an hour behind me (in Arizona), so when the clock struck midnight on my end, while I was still writing up the post, I was a little worried that I didn't make my Friday deadline. Hahaha. But, it's still Friday there and I'm in the green zone. Yayer! Let's get right into it.

POETIC DEATH: Tonight, Poe posted up a picture of he and R.A. The Rugged Man while on the set of R.A.'s new video. "Mad dope conversations, you might even see a familiar face in it," said Poe. Take a look!

Also, Poe will be shooting the music video for "Perris Blvd.", a poignant song dedicated to four high school kids that lost their lives in a car crash. If you live in Perris and want to get involved, make sure you hit Poe up on Facebook or something so he can give you the finer details! Check the message.

GAVLYN: Before heading out to Europe on her Modest Confidence tour, Gavlyn pulled an AintNobodyCool "Brrr" ski mask over her face and said, "peace out, guys!". Her first show was in Grenoble, France, and she posted a photo of her lively crowd here. Make sure you like Gav on Facebook to keep up with her on tour. Hit up a show if you're out that way, too! BUY HER ALBUM!

VIDA KILLZ: Since posting about her first single "Remnants of Death" earlier this month, Vida released her anticipated EP yesterday, titled Phantom Loose Leaves. As her second collaborative project with producer Self Destruct, this 4-track album is described as an ode to thoughts that haunt Vida while she attemps to exist. The beats are mellow, with a little bit of an eerie feeling... deep, melancholy strings, punchy drums, and hollow piano notes set the backdrop for her powerfully poetic spoken word. Through feelings of worry, sorrow, fear, hunger, and the desire to spread positive energy, we find Vida flipping through old pages of her life and wandering through her mind's thoughts where she's searching for self, for love, for truth, and for peace. Though it's short in time (under 10 minutes), it's a really good project. Stream and download the EP for free or for a pay-what-you-want price.

YARAH BRAVO: Last week, Yarah Bravo recorded a brand new track with Lady Leshurr, Freestyle (from The Arsonists) and La Method, and she shared the song a couple of days ago! "Ça tabasse" is a groovy, hard-hitting track that you don't want to overlook, so go stream it over at Bandcamp as soon as possible (and download the maxi single for free!). Our Yarah is on the third verse, and she spits so damn fast... GET 'EM, GIRL! Breath control like whoa. The beat is dope and everybody was so ill on this track. I've listened to it so many times tonight. FIRE! Count me in as someone that wants to see a video of this!

RAZOR: As we break in February, Razor's F.A.I.T.H. tour continues! Check this flyer to see the dates and locations. Grab his album, hit up a show, and get live with him!

THE PRODUCERS: As FiascoTheGod has stated before, the OgT producers have teamed up to release an instrumental project. The cover art has been posted (view here), so look out for Threatstrumentals soon!

FEGGY MIN: Feggy posted a photo of her, Sara Fleur, and Gavlyn kickin' it in a store (see here). Along with it, she said, "Fuuuun times with my lovies Sara Fleur and Gavlyn! It feels so good to have my girl GAVLYN back in Europe! It's already her 4th Europe Tour and I am so damn proud of her! You should definitely check out her new album "Modest Confidence"! Gonna work on so many BIG projects with my sis, totally time for a TAKEOVER!"

Latest art pieces include Kendrick Lamar eating a not-so-little hamburger, and Jay Park in a popsicle wonderland, surrounded by a white wolf, little green aliens, spooky bunnies, and cute creatures.

That's about it for tonight.
Have a fun weekend!
I hope you all wake up to a beautiful February morning.
XOXO, Tiffology

OgT Take Over

You know what's dope about the Organized Threat camp? Not only do they work hard, aim high in their crafts, create quality work, have an amazing comradery, and support each other through every endeavor that comes along... but they are ALWAYS doing something with their time. There is always an event/show popping off, a new song posted, interviews surfacing, photos of the collective hanging out with one another and/or other inspiring individuals, incredible reviews, new merch ready to be swooped up, work-in-progress pieces where they ask for feedback, music videos, etc. There isn't one person who is just sleeping on the job and not striving to make the best life for themselves. We here are OgT Weekly write every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and there hasn't been a single entry that has been bare in content. The year has barely begun and it's already proving to be incredibly productive. So wonderful! Anyway, I'm about to go make some bomb turkey burgers, but before I do... here's what these people have been up to.

GAVLYN: Fresh off of her third album release, Modest Confidence, a new interview with Gavlyn surfaced yesterday. She recently spoke with Fern of the Your Friends House blog and shared stories of how she came up with her alias, how her perspective has changed from when she first got involved in music to where she's at now, performing throughout Europe, her desire to be more personal and share real life stories in her music, and much more. READ HERE. Also, be sure to buy her new album on iTunes, or you can get CDs, posters, and buttons on her website or at Broken Complex.

Not only that, but Gavlyn was the latest guest on Dumbfoundead's Hot Box series where he sits with someone in his car, it's all smoked out, and he interviews them. Episode 51 finds Gavlyn speaking on her growing fan base, touring, her new album, what's to come, and she spits a verse at the end. WATCH HERE (or below).

VIDA KILLZ: Yesterday, Vida dropped a new video. Serving as the 7th installment of her live performance series, this one finds her performing "Amare," featuring Self Destruct, at the Wherehouse? in San Jose, California. Shot and co-produced by Sol Fern Fotographia. WATCH HERE (or below).

EMPTYSEV: Sev dropped some exciting news via Facebook early this morning. His forthcoming album titled Seven Empty now has a release date--you can expect it on March 7th (that's a Friday, which means I'll be writing about it, yayuh!).

Also, while FiascoTheGod mentioned it on Monday, don't forget that EmptySev's official birthday bash party is this SUNDAY, January 19th. It's only $5 to get in and it's ALL AGES, so be sure to hit up the Wheelhouse Bar at 6pm to catch live performances by Poetic Death, Bonnie Blue, Razor, THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A., MC Sincere, and several others. DJ Starchild will also be on the 'tables. It's going to be a dope OgT gathering, so make sure you attend and celebrate with Sev! Check the flyer here for more information.

JASSON C: A few days ago, Jasson announced that he will be at SXSW this year. If you'll be there, you should swing through Spiderhouse on March 13th and 14th for that live performance. He followed that exciting news with: ""The Lymbo Ascent Project" (#LAProject) is underway. And more visuals to come as well as the skits off "Waiting Room". 2014 is looking up!"

THA F.O.R.M.U.L.A.: The producer dropped a remix of Blu and Exile's "Soul Provider" on his Soundcloud today. He brought out a more soothing side by stripping away the high-pitched vocal cuts and scratching, and instead slowed down the boom bap drums a little, and laced it with what sounds like a looped harmonica (or some kind of reed instrument). It's a good-feeling vibe that doesn't take away from the original too much. STREAM/DOWNLOAD.

FEGGY MIN: As always, this talented lady has been posting up new works and progress shots. Last week, she posted up an illustration of NYane Lebajoa (view here). Then, drawing with only pencils and black markers, she combined her past style of realistic portraits with her current art style to produce three new drawings (view here). She followed those up with another one of a sad Miura Haruma (view here), and it's quite lovely, too. And last, she dropped another new piece, this time it features Eminem (view here) in "God Bless The Holy Donut!"

SARA FLEUR: Sara has posted up some new photos on her Facebook page. This is to showcase a new Simon Desue beanie, called "DESUE". You can find it here. Also, let's end this post with a picture of Sara and Feggy together, lookin' super fly (view here).

All right, that's it. I hope everyone attending and performing at Razor's album release party tonight are having a blast! And, if you haven't yet, go buy his new album F.A.I.T.H.!

-------------------------------

Have an amazing three day weekend.
Peace and blessings to you all.
Love is the way.
XOXO, Tiffology

Friday, January 10, 2014

Hello Hi Hey

Good evening, OgT lovers! How are you all doing? I'm doing great--my dog is on the right track to getting better (he was really sick yesterday and I was scared he wasn't going to be OK--thank goodness for veterinarians), I got a lot accomplished, the weather is nice and chilly (60°F right now, and low 40s later tonight), and all is right with the world. I'm gonna get right into it tonight, though, because I have a lot of things to do. Here we go!

POETIC DEATH: Since posting "The Villain" freestyle, The Audible Doctor (the producer of the beat) hit Poe up on Twitter today to let him know that he thought the freestyle was dope. A few back-and-forth tweets later, and they're talking about collaborating! The power of the internet--especially with social sites like Twitter and Facebook--is incredible sometimes. I love that it can bring people together and create such awesome opportunities. I am definitely looking forward to that coming into play, because Poe is a dope spitter and I've been a Audible Doctor fan for awhile (on the mic or behind the beat). Look out for that one, you guys, because they're gonna kill it. Get ready for some audible death! (See what I did there?) Until then, though, make sure you watch and share the video with your friends.

JMEGA: New music video from the True Masterz duo (JMega on the mic + MighGawd on production) for the "Manifesto" single off of their 2012 album, The First Atom. MighGawd drops a head-nodding, boom bap beat with super slick cuts by DJ Grazzhoppa, while JMega kicks raw raps. Dope song. Video directed by Chad aka Poe. WATCH IT, LIKE IT, AND SHARE IT! I wasn't up on TM back in 2012, so if you're in that same position, you should get familiar with their discography over at Bandcamp (they have stuff dating back to 2011). I'll be digging through it, too.

VIDA KILLZ: Yesterday, Vida dropped her first video update of 2014. She talks about her new merch buttons. They are $2 each, but she says that if you order more than one she'll write a haiku about you... so get with that! WATCH HERE! Then, buy a button or two. She will be releasing a video every Thursday, so be sure to subscribe to her on Youtube.

BONNIE BLUE: If you're in San Bernardino, California, or will be in the area tomorrow, make sure you attend the Woman's Art and Music Appreciation Showcase and Benefit. Held at The Office Saloon, your girl Bonnie will be rocking the mic, along with several other talented women in music. There will also be art, live body painting, merch booths, and food from Vegan With Joy. So, if you're 21+, get there between 8pm and 2am... because it sounds like it's going to be a great time. Plus, it's for a good cause. Although it's a free event, any and all funds raised will be donated to a local battered women's shelter. Check out the flyer or the Facebook event for more information.

YARAH BRAVO: My favorite little Captain Love Bubble has been doing the daaaaaayum thang up in London recently. She recently shared the stage with DJ Krush (one of my favorites), DJ Vadim (another favorite), and DJ Cam at KOKOS, and expressed having an amazing time (just look at this picture for evidence). Also, take a look at this throwback photo of she and Krush, and then a brand new one! It's great to see people whom I've been a fan of for several years still kicking it, making good music, and supporting each other. By the way, Yarah is trying to make it out to South America this year. Not only to reconnect with her roots and visit her mom, but to also bless the mic on some stages. If you are a promoter out that way or have any connections, you should hit her up on Facebook!

SARA FLEUR: Sara, the stunning model of the collective, has been posted a couple of new photos this year. The first one finds her beaming with happiness in a DIY crop top of Feggy's A$AP Rocky shirt design. The second photo is a birds-eye-view of her in a pair of dark blue, cut-off jean shorts, and a long sleeve, red crop. Lovely tattoos exposed, too. Make sure you become a fan of her Facebook page or follow her Instagram for updates.

FEGGY MIN: You all better be following Feggy on Twitter and on Facebook, too. She is constantly posting sketches, new works, pictures, and showing love to her fans. Since my last post, she has updated her "한국힙합" (South Korean Hip Hop) album, so take a look through all the work within there. Next up, she has continued in her "candyland" style pieces, adding Iggy Azalea to the bunch--IGGY IN CANDYISLAND. Look at her rocking a cute, bunny-eared, Monster print hat (I still would like to get the Monster sweatshirt!) "I've been really enjoying these "candy, icecream, cake" inspired Artworks lately. Let's make 2014 a Candyland; colorful, sweet and tastyyyy," says Feggy. Also, for the new year, Feggy has set a goal of drawing something every day, so you can look forward to a bunch of new work--whether they're sketches or full paintings. Lastly, for good measure, here's a picture of the artist herself spreading that peace.

-----------------------

That's all for today. Make sure you stay tuned for next week!
Have a blessed weekend!
XOXO, Tiffology
