#TrailerTrash: Recognized as a producer with Organized Threat, Rellim continues to explore his abilities as an MC in his latest album Trailer Trash. Although I believe Rellim has some kinks to workout as an MC, this project should not go unnoticed by Organized Threat fans. We know Rellim for his ability to produce sounds that Organized Threat poets/MCs are able to go off on but, now we literally hear from him. His experiences. His struggles. Here is Trailer Trash.

#Namaste: Von Poe VII is looking to get his "Namaste" video to 10k views before he releases his next video so I will leave it below for you to watch and share.

#ThreatBack: Here is a "ThreatBack" video for you guys. Von Poe VII says it's one of Vida Killz' top 5 tracks. What do you think?

And we're back!

Hello, everyone! Organized Threat Weekly (OgTWeekly) is back in effect as of today. Like I had previously mentioned, this blog will find one of us blogging every week (instead of 3 times a week). I am kicking it off this week, Fiasco next week, and Aster the following week... and repeat.

Before I lead into what's been new with Poe, let me talk about the Mike Brown protest briefly. Unless you've been living under a rock, or are in line with the sheeple, you should be well aware with what's going on in Ferguson, Missouri. It's been so horrific to see unarmed, peaceful citizens of all ages get stomped on, shot at, tear gassed, threatened, you name it... for speaking their voice, standing up for justice, and protesting against police brutality (something that's been eating away at our country for quite some time now). It's disgusting to see those who are expected to protect-and-serve the people, continuously do the exact opposite, time and time again, violating rules and laws to protect-and-serve themselves. Their actions in the last two weeks have been absolutely appalling. (Side note: I'm well aware that not all cops are bad-eggs.)

That said, I am so proud and happy that people aren't standing for this--that people are finding the strength and courage to resist against oppression, and being lied to. It's so incredible to see people all around the country, and around the globe, uniting and rallying over a common goal of equality, peace, and justice worldwide. From Tibetan monks showing up in Ferguson to protest alongside the citizens; to Palestinians signing a statement in solidarity with what's happening; to people in different states supporting the cause in their own ways and protests; to Turkish fans in Istanbul showing their support during a soccer match; and so on. These types of protests have happened on several other occasions, but this time it feels like it's more in the public eye - people are waking up and it's making a big, history-changing impact. It's also a beautiful thing to see citizens standing guard and protecting stores/buildings from looters and the few people with misguided energy; to see families feeding those out on the streets; selfless strangers helping those who are suffering from the cops' brutal actions (which have reportedly died down in the last couple of days); people helping in cleaning the streets after the previous night's chaos; people laying out 60+ yards of roses down the street, and everything else good that shows people acting with love, generosity, and positivity... which gets overshadowed by negativity told by the news and/or cops. These organized actions, and those who unify in a non-violent movement, are the steps that will make positive change a possible thing of the future. You are all warriors for peace. I hope this ends well, and soon. THIS IS AN ORGANIZED THREAT! Stay Informed: While the mainstream news isn't sharing much reliable coverage on the situation (not that I've seen anyway), there are several people out there that are. Here are a couple of links / social media pages to keep you all in-the-know: KARG Argus Radio Livestream, #Ferguson, #HealSTL, @AntonioFrench, @TefPoe, @OpFerguson, and countless others.

-----------------------------
A lot has happened since July 18th, so let me try to catch you all up in a semi-condensed form, and if you want to know more, follow the artist's links to stay up to date as stuff happens. Here we go!

POETIC DEATH / VON POE VII

Poe went to Ferguson earlier this week to stand with the people in solidarity. He said: "Like many of you, I've been watching the events unfold over the past week in the small town of Ferguson, MO. But after yesterday's incident, I feel the need to do more. With the help of Sergio Gutierrez, I was able to buy a round trip ticket to and from Ferguson back to California. So I'm going." Through social media, he's been documenting his time there and updating everyone on what's going on (Day One & Day Two). "I am very blessed to be able to move through Ferguson in peace. I'm extremely happy to see THE PEOPLE showing each other love, I hope it remains this way," says Poe. Stay up to date with what's going on with him out there through his Twitter and/or Instagram

As far as the meet-and-greet talk that he was doing last month, he let everyone know that those are set to start in January (source). Regarding that, he said, "I want my shows to be different. I want them to be personal and interactive, and I don't want you all to have to pay extra just to meet me. I have something special in tour for you all. To my European listeners, I'm coming back soon. No question about that. So until then, catch me on the low mobbing around your city. Grab your copy of ONLY GODZ RELATE when you can, or download the project for free. Whatever works best for you all."

A few weeks ago, he dropped a music video to a song called "Dame Dash". While he pays respect and relates to both Dame's moral and work ethics, Poe also speaks on what he's currently going through and where his head is at. He expresses the frustration with those who give him the cold shoulder and acknowledges his haters, while moving past all that negative shit in big strides, as he shows love to his mother, his upbringing, the indie life, ambitious people, empowering the youth, and more. "It's bigger than money, you dummy." Produced by Rellim! Watch the video in the mini player below, or on Youtube to watch it in HD (recommended!).

Last, but not least, he has some new "VII" gear available. There's a new, clean design for the hats and beanies, so head on over to his merch store and get something!

PAPA J. RUIZ

To celebrate his son's first birthday, on August 7th, Papa J dropped a brand new video. It's for a song called “Domestic Terrorist”, from his forthcoming album HR-1955. Over hard-hitting drums and prominent keys, he spits a conscious and cautionary message about the political terrorists and power-hungry authorities that creep in our own homeland, where freedom isn't always free. He also advises his son to think for himself and to discover his own destiny, rather than being mind-controlled into something else. Or, at least, that's what I gather when I listen to this song. “And I pledge allegiance to the flag of myself // And I only know the Threat, and I ain't fuckin with none else // And I'ma teach my little youngin' how to get it like me // Tell him navigate your mind through the belly of the beast.

Produced by Joogy Music. Directed by Chad A. Marshall. Watch the video in the mini player below, or go hit this Youtube link to watch the video in HD. The video also made #9 on Snoop's Underground Heat series, in Episode 71 (Papa J asks that you go vote and leave a comment on the Youtube page about the video, to get it to number one).

Today, Papa J shared some insight into the hardships of being an independent artist, while also encouraging everyone—whether they're an artist, too, or if they're struggling in life, in general—to find strength through moments of weakness and/or downfalls. He said: "Its difficult being an independent artist, there is no reason to suger coat things. You as a person already in your personal life you have many worries... Bills, yo family, relationships with loved ones yo girl some people have kids along with the fact you work and spend a good amount of your time at a minimum wage job cause truth is you can't get threw life with no money..... Things will work out trust me iiim no rapper balling and iii hold tight on to my faith sometimes things dont look like they will look successful...scrabbling change just to record hurts but for some reason its molding change... Sometimes we wish we could be the man and artist everyone is listening to but dont worry for that.... To all my young men or ladies with insecurities iii understand the struggle of living day by day trying to think positive and not let your mind travel to places you hate, iii struggle with this but remember everyone has a struggle so be the person you wish you had that could understand you.... There are artist that entertain the world.... Then there are artist that speak to the world but remain UN heard till that 1 day. #iii "

Other than sharing that video on multiple occasions and promoting his upcoming album ("If iii wanted a quick buck iii would of dropped this a long time ago but its about my vision #iii, he said"), that's about it from him. Stay tuned for more.

JMEGA

Jmega is working on a new project, called Darker Than Black. Last month, he dropped the music video for a song called "Metal Armz". It was directed by: Chad A. Marshall. Watch the video in the mini player below or follow this Youtube link to watch it in HD.

He dropped another track earlier this week, also from the previously mentioned project, and uploaded it on Youtube to stream. It's a thought-provoking song called "Conspiracy Theory," where he lends his insight into what's going on in the tumultuous world today—such as being brainwashed by politicians, ingesting toxic chemicals in our food and water, suffering obesity in America, police brutality, mass murder, being watched ala Big Brother, and more. STREAM HERE. Both songs were produced by Aquarius Minded.

Not only were there new Jmega songs, but there are also a few new True Masterz joints! "Open Sky", "Few Are Chosen" and "World Without End". Stream them below, or click the links in the titles.

YARAH BRAVO

First off, let me say that if you haven't copped Yarah's album, Love Is The Movement, go do that now. You can buy the album in MP3s, on vinyl, and on CD. There are also stickers, rolling papers, canvases, t-shirts, and tote bags! Merch galore!

While she won't be playing at Hip Hop Kemp this year, Yarah is performing at the Uprising Festival today (trailer)! Her other tour dates include: August 29th @ Milla Club in Munich, September 20th @ Graz in Austria, and September 24th somewhere in Morocco.

Remember when I mentioned Yarah Bravo being involved in a special Yo! MTV Raps x HHV.de event? "Together with Berlin Boombox, the hhv.de Store paid homage to a medium that had significant involvement in giving Hip Hop the status in the music industry it deserves: Yo! MTV Raps. " The video for that was posted last week, and you can find it HERE. You can see Yarah all throughout the second half of it.

And for some last minute fun, she participated in Throwback Thursday a couple weeks ago, by sharing a couple of photos when she was living in Brooklyn, at the Stay Gold Gallery (HAVE A LOOK). She also posted a throwback video of her group One Self (along with DJ Vadim and BluRum13), for their song "Paranoid". I had noooo idea that they had a video for this, so it's dope seeing it now, years later. WATCH HERE.

Also, if you're flying Bulgaria Air, you can read about Yarah in the in-flight magazine >> SEE?! Dope!

VIDA KILLZ

Other than connecting with her best friends, reading books, and sharing positive nuggets of wisdom, Vida dropped a not-so-new EP on August 13th. Titled A Year In Words: Volume III, the 6-track offering is a collection of songs from a project she did in 2011, where she made an EP every month for an entire year. She did it in efforts to challenge her growth in productivity, and as a means to showcase the many sides to her art. She met her challenge, but some of the projects weren't completed as they were intended, due to unforeseen circumstances. However, this compilation showcases each track as it was meant to be released as. STREAM AND DOWNLOAD FOR FREE!

Four days ago, Vida announced an EP in the works, which will be released before her forthcoming album, Daydreams & Nightmares. About it, she said, "Back in 2009/2010.. I linked up with #GRIEF78 to put out two EPs of a trilogy of work. It's been a few years, but we are finally working on the last of the trio. This is thee album art/title of it. It will be out in the next month or so..def before the November release of "Daydreams & Nightmares". MUCH LOVE!" Look out for both of those!

Also, check out a couple of cute photos from her childhood: This one and this one (about the latter, she commented: "I was practicing for my cross- country boat rowing competition. The glasses are for protection, of course.").

SOULCAT E. PHIFE

Soulcat has been busy, too! She celebrated her birthday last month, she upped some older music to her Bandcamp page (I don't remember there being this much the last time I checked, so I apologize if I'm wrong), and she rocked a few shows (with one happening tonight at Club Roxy, in Vienna, Austria, and an all-ladies show on August 29th at Dots 21, in Wien, Austria).

-------------------------
That wraps it up for this week!
Hope I got you all up to date on what's been new with the crew.
Stay tuned for the following weeks.
Have an excellent weekend.

Namaste

Hello, everyone. If you don't know yet, this OGT Weekly blog will soon adhere to its "weekly" name. For the last 10 months, the 3 of us have each taken on the responsibility of providing you readers with the latest OgT news 3 times a week--every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Instead of 3 posts a week, it will turn into 1 post per week, thus making OGT WEEKLY stand true to its name. That will not be happening any more, beginning in August. After this post of mine, we will be taking a 2-week break until next month, when we will start this one-post-per-week idea. I believe that it will kick off with Aster for the first week, FiascoTheGod for the second week, me for the third week, and continue rotating as such. Does that make sense? Anyway... STAY TUNED! Let's get into what's been up with some of the gang lately...

POETIC DEATH: Poe has a bunch of new stuff in store for you guys! Two days ago, he talked about having some new VILLAINZ merch coming up, and one of them has already been unveiled! SKATEBOARDS! He's still collecting feedback on the design of the board, but at least we know that they're becoming a thing. About the quality of the boards, he said, "These would be 8.0 INDUSTRY STANDARD American made maple decks. Take a look at the company AVSKATES, they do boards for some of the top skating brands." If you'd be interested in buying one, do not hesitate in letting him know via Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Not only that, but he dropped a new song today! Produced by Endure, "Namaste" finds a determined Poe marching to his own melody by doing everything in his power to reach his goals/dreams/destiny, without letting any negative bullshit getting in his way. Like water, if it gets trapped or blocked, it will find a new path. "I got the seven on my left hand, the threat on my right // I got a tat across my chest to keep my vision in sight." STREAM VIA SOUNDCLOUD.

But wait, that's not all. If you live in CALIFORNIA, NEVADA, or ARIZONA, Poe will be doing some special meet+greets in those states. Make sure you let him know here which city you want him to come to -- and if your city gets enough votes, he'll be there!

Lastly, this Saturday (tomorrow), Poe will be in Perris at The Regency Theatre around 4:50PM (see here). He will be there to see the new Purge movie, so if you want to watch it with him... be there! He'll also have some hardcopies of ONLY GODZ RELATE with him.

PAPA J. RUIZ: Like Fiasco said in his previous post, Papa J has been putting out some new work recently. Earlier today, he posted a photo of him working in the studio. "You can't rush greatness, let us work. Still no release date. @vonpoevii @joogyjugg & iii are working hard as a team to deliver to the fans as a collective and solo, griiind Wit us. #iii #ORGANIZEDTHREAT #PAPAJRUIZ". Keep your eye on 'em!

VIDA KILLZ: Vida announced that she will be taking a break from the internet for a little bit, while she does some soul searching and healing. She will also be working on music and writing, so if you're still interested in sending her beats (or inspiring Youtube videos), email her at: beats@vidakillz.com

YARAH BRAVO: Where do I even begin with Yarah?! She's a hard-working hip hop warrior! As far as shows go, she opened up for Fat Freddy's Drop yesterday, and will be opening up for them again on July 29th at Stadtpark Freilichtbühne in Hamburg, Germany (bonus: she posted a throwback photo when she performed with the band last year). You can also check this little poster to see where she'll be at in the next coming months. TOMORROW, you can find her in POTSDAM at the Streetopia Festival (event), and in BERLIN at Club Gretchen (event).

Some extra cool stuff: Not sure if there will be a video of this online in the (near) future, but Yarah spoke with someone at HHV regarding Yo! MTV Raps (photo). And, remember when I talked about the exclusive Love Is The Movement rolling papers? Those are finally available to you through her Bandcamp page (in two different combo packages) or via Ziggi Papers.

--------------------------------------
That's it for today and this month.
Hope you all have been well. Keep your head up!
We'll see you in August!

7/14

What't up OGT fans and newcomers? This is FiascoTheGod and I am here to supply you with the latest Organized Threat news! First, check out the video of the blog which features Von Poe VII's track "Ready To Die". Can we get this to 10k views people? I believe so!

I agree Vida! Although I am out of school I make an effort to self educate myself. Recently I've been interested in whether or not humans have free will and I've been reading articles that help me improve as a blogger. School can help to a certain extent but there's always more to learn! Evolve the mind. Evolve yourself.

On With The News!

JMega The God and Von Poe VII have been busy lately shooting visuals for JMega's "Metal Armz". You can gaze upon the tweet below to confirm this announcement!

Papa J. Ruiz made a huge rumble last week the release of a music video, a "Trophies" freestyle, and a leak off his upcoming album HR-1955. Below he explains that there is no release date nor is he in a rush to complete it. Right now he is observing and taking in how he is living. He says to enjoy the ride to the release and he made it more enjoyable with his three releases last week!

Experiences are what makes music possible. We learn about the experiences of an artist through their art/music. Papa J. Ruiz's tweet is a bit ambiguous when he types "we". That "we" could mean him and his family/OGT. If that is true then he is taking the time to become fully aware of how he is living his life. By doing so the content on HR 1955 could display a more vivid picture of what Papa J. Ruiz is currently experiencing. This is of course if that's what this "we" means.

Have you heard this sound by producer Faces? He released this a month ago but has made a mastered version of it. Let him know if you want to hear the mastered version by contacting him on Twitter @TheManyFaces.

Rellim and Jasson C were also kicking it recently and they were even working on a beat. Rellim posted a video to Instagram and that can be witnessed by clicking here.

Today's random Organized Threat tweets were made possible by EmptySev and Faces!

I hope they do, too!

The epicness of this tweet...

OGT Round Up

There you have it! Your Organized Threat scoop has been delivered by your savior FiascoTheGod. With important news and entertaining tweets from the camp, this OGT Weekly was made possible. [WWU]

HELLO OGT FANS AND FANATICS, FRIENDS AND FOES !

Reunited and it feels so good minions! Welcome once again to this wonderful moment we have together. I'm sure you all know by now, I fucking love to talk about how much it matters to stand up and take action for what we believe in, whatever that may be. I also love to fucking talk about how important it is to mobilize and organize our voices in unison. I mean come on fuckers, lets face it; we all human; we all have the same internal organs; we all need water to drink and food to eat; we all need places to defecate. We may all be rolling along in different directions and at different speeds, but its our hearts and minds that lead us, and God knows we have that in common. Some though, they don't believe, they've lost hope and gone astray. They have been poisoned by doubt and retreat to solitude in resentment looking deep within themselves to find a pot of gold that was never placed. The goose couldn't lay the golden egg alone and loneliness isn't worth one's weight in gold. But with the pressure of all our voices united as one we can create diamonds; we can motivate and cultivate change. BECAUSE LETS FACE IT PEOPLE! Everyday we don't take a stand for what we believe in, we are letting corporate America rape us and we are tacitly consenting to support what they stand for. When you fill up your car with gas you're supporting big oil companies like Chevron who pollute the amazon by dumping their leftover waste water into its pristine rivers. When you go to Walmart and buy yourself some fucking toothpaste you're supporting the import of tuna caught illegally through bottom trolling fishing methods that unnecessarily kills tens of thousands of sea turtles every year. The list goes on and on but the truth is blatant; If you don't stand up for something you believe in, you'll be standing for a bunch of unnecessary bullshit you didn't even really know you were standing for. And the only way to change this crazy thing called life is by standing together, being loud and being proud. Organized Threat stands loud and proud, and overall for the greater good and love of mankind. There's a certain kinda power that comes with numbers, we all know this. So don't be ignorant, perhaps stand with us, or at least stand for something. Or else you'll stand for nothing but bullshit.

#OGT

Organized Threat. The TEAM. The FAMILY.

"Anyone who jumps ship cause we not blowing up fast enough in they eyes can eat a Dick" - Papa J. Ruiz

Video of the blog: "747s" by Jasson C.

I am FiascoTheGod and it is time for me to supply you with the latest Organized Threat news.

#THISJUSTIN: Papa J. Ruiz looks to keep us busy with brand new content this week. We should expect 2 new leaks tonight and a music video tomorrow!

Von Poe VII continues his grind by personally delivering copies of ONLY GODZ RELATE! Click here to view the Instagram post of where he recently was! He never seems to hesitate to provide for his fans and to support those who support him.

"I find it funny / I'm the only one not here for the money /  I should have focused on myself /  Cause maybe then they wouldn't learn from me" - Von Poe VII, Video: The Villain

Vida Killz and Von Poe VII kicked it recently. You can view their photo on Instagram by clicking here.

Are you ready for a new video from a track by Von Poe VII that is produced by Rellim? I would love to tell you exactly when but, all I can supply right now is this tweet from Rellim that announces that a music video will be "comin". We want more details Rellim!

The last video that Von Poe VII released under Rellim's production was "Paradox" and that can be gazed upon by clicking here.

#EVENTUPDATE: Razor will be throwing a birthday bash on July 11 in the Beverly Hills area. DJ Starchild will be there, too! Click here to view the flyer for more details.

While composing this blog I thought to myself, "what has Jasson C been up to?". My curiosity led me to send him a tweet to see if I could find the answer. Ultimately he let it be known that a "great flood" will be approaching.

I am pleased to close out this blog with 2 new tracks from Organized Threat!

The first comes from JMega The God with his new sound "Written In Steel". JMega The God lays down his godly delivery over production by Aquarius Minded. JMega FLEXXX's HARD in this track.

"I bust guns for my niggas who bust guns for me / I shed blood for my niggas who shed blood for me" - JMega The God.

Whether he meant this metaphorically or literally is not important. It is the message behind it. A motto that some family's (blood related or not) go by. This rings true for JMega and his family.

We also have new music from Rellim and Jasson C. Guess what?! Rellim isn't the producer on this track, he is an emcee alongside Jasson C! When you compare the two you can clearly notice that Jasson C is the more developed emcee but, Rellim still holds his own! Listen to their new track "That Notion" which I praised in my blog for using the word "notion". No it's not the most complex of words but, when it comes to tracks that play off of a word, it is usually a simple word. "That Notion" raises that bar intellectually and creatively.

THERE YOU HAVE IT!

There is your latest Organized Threat news! It is drenched in important news and thought provoking quotes/tweets. Before you continue with your Monday antics, read over the blog one more time and make sure you share it with a friend! Don't forget to check out the video of the blog! You can now consider me, FiascoTheGod your savior.

Hey, OgTWeekly readers. Being that yesterday was the 4th of July--a day of celebrating your freedom--I wasn't able to write up my post yesterday. That's a day for family, friends, fun, food, fireworks, and everything else fantastic. Even if I did, it wouldn't have been looked at, because all of you were busy, too!
